Are Tentacle Miscreations still just way, way too strong?
" Pretty sure there's corners around those, fulfilling a similar purpose. However, yes, there are situations where it's non-ideal. Talking about non-ideal situations though: " Which takes "just" 380 Base Mana. 1k base Mana isn't much, but 25% of that (380 + RM) is a fair lot of investment (considering the average person is already running like five Auras), plus you need to give up... " 80 Mana/sec as well. For the OP, that wasn't actually enough either because he doesn't happen to use the most overpowered keystone (Ondar's Guile). Additionally, since he mentioned Stun recovery at all, we can assume he hasn't gone over to IR/US either. Getting either US or OG is going to cost a bunch of passive points. " You really think all that is solid advice just to combat one specific creature type? Really? At least six passive points, and probably a new Aura. He happens to already have part of your solution but it's not even enough. It's a solution, yes, but it's hardly '/thread' because it's extremely specific. |

You think it's just for them.. dude there are so many projectiles in the game, I do not worry about the points I spent to get there. Plus you get dex on the way, which allows you to spec out of +30 nodes in the tree. I gave a solution, he might not be able to pull it all off but there it is.

" Which I already said, albeit with a bit more cynicism: " |

But which one would you rely on? I think game mechanics > misclick/desynch prone side stepping every time.

They've been a breeze on my evasion/block Reaver. But regardless of build, you can always fall back on manual evasion. Should you come up against a really tough combo (speed, multiproj, etc) and don't have room to manually evade, well, tough luck, every build out there has some type of drawback.
Chances are you can still do the pack using situational skills, totems, cheesing the AI to split up and follow you, etc. It's not like every map has this monster either. Why is it a design flaw if every build can't instantly destroy every obstacle in their way? IGN : Jovial

I was once walking across a bridge in a map and came face to face with a wall of tentacle miscreations that started firing while still offscreen. Can't dodge that.

" Given my general stats, I'd expect to not be blown up instantaneously by non-magic non-rare zero mod mobs 12 levels below me. That is why I don't feel there's a need to dodge - because there's just no way I can drop that fast. I don't expect to be able to just tank them forever - but at least for a short time. Given that their dps far surpasses Carnage, I guess I'll just dodge harder ): (:

Not dodge, evade. What is your total life? Do you run grace/evasion? Or are you Iron Reflexes, with Unwavering Stance? Would explain a lot if you were! If so, you just need more physical damage reduction. Try running Endurance Charges or rolling a granite with % increased Armour on it.

" Yep, its a channeled attack and easy to move out of the way when they start firing. |

have some armor.
I have 8300 ES and 51% physical mitigation with IR + grace + determination, and the miscreations don't hurt that much at all. IGN: AchiLize
