Im very happy that poe is not p2w and i hope it will stay that way.

I'd like the possibility besides cosmetic effects to change colour on gear pieces or even buy a new skin of an already existing item for further customization. Im honestly sick of my vaal regalia appearance. This rather than commercial from modern world and time to snap me out of the medieval atmosphere.

I don't mind the footprints. I think they're ugly lol, I'd rather spend my last 160 on the fire ones or something, but yes you're right. It's f2p, and it's not a big deal to me.

If GGG can make some loot from some advertising like that, then that's just more money to spend on PoE. Also, it's still in beta, lets be real here. No biggie to me. I don't think it would be a bad idea to remove them at some point after release, but I won't care either way. It's a whole lot better than ads popping up between screens and stuff.

Edit: I don't think people really know, sometimes, how much it takes to make a decent video game and keep a company alive. It's not cheap, and the game is free. Im honestly shocked that they've been as good as they have been so far with this stuff.

I remember a thread form long ago.... about the micro transaction add in menu... and maker was saying its a beginning, everyone said 'no.... adds will never be in game, GGG ain't that bad..'

The thin end of the wedge does not necessarily define how thick the wedge may actually become.

I have bought a razer mouse which is now junk, a razer cherry keyboard (also junk in a year and very expensive to boot)... my impression of them is clearly different to that of Chris.

I guess not many people will download it a) from the comments made and b) because it's not spammed in game, and most don't even read the forums. Or perhaps they will, just to try it out, and then leave it after a day as it is a bit cheesy to say the least. I got myself one, but might only ever add it to a low life alt.

But if GGG gets further popular awareness from this, then why not? All the whiners would whine a lot more if they found their favourite game shut down overnight because GGG couldn't pay the bills. Just not on this forum. Oh dear, what a pity, never mind.

Do what you have to do GGG - I doubt you will be in the realms of EA anytime soon.

Then make it PAY TO PLAY. I'd gladly pay full price for this game, or a small monthly subscription, just as long as they don't pollute the game with insulting advertising.
