Find a cheap low-profile video card...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121641 You really ought to give up trying to make that ancient video card work. Last edited by ionface#0613 on Sep 7, 2013, 7:19:54 PM

here's another idea.. open the production_config.ini and set the aa (anti-alias) setting to 0. also set the texture quality to 2 or 3.
see if that makes a difference. |

If you really can't afford the cheapest video cards on the market, you have little recourse.
This is the firmware for your video card probably. Double check that this is your video card before you try to install this, because the wrong firmware will brick your computer. (If you have a remote desktop service on, you might be able to use the video-less computer from a different computer). ATI X1600XT Graphics Card Video BIOS Update If that isn't the version you have installed, it might be prudent to install it for all the features and bugfixes which might be in the newer firmware. Try tweaking your production_Config.ini like Drakier said. I'd go with higher than 2 or 3 to see if the setting would even help. antialias_mode=0 post_processing=false shadow_type=no_shadows texture_quality=5 The game will be sufficiently ugly to run on a toaster with those settings, though I think GPU specs will still make the game impossible to play. 12/5 cores @ 450MHz. 128 Bit @ 470MHz. 512MB VRAM. It's less than stellar. I think you should try to buy your way out of this, go to yard sales or something to find a low-profile video card better than that one. The local computer stores around here would sell upgrades to that for $5 from a junk bin, though I'd rather get a decent new card like the one I linked you. What is your brother's video card btw? " I agree with everything you said except...sometimes? On a daily basis from what i can remember about my six year WoW, induced coma. This game here, PoE, it's what Diablo 3 should've been and so much more. The skill tree takes me back to the the Sphere grid (FFX) Classic gems like that AND randomised dungeons from D2!? Sorry guys i'm getting off topic, I'm going to finish with; if i win lotto, i'll donate a fucktonne of money to help these guys out (GGG) NZ gamers. We play with lag, not against it. |

" Honestly, you should have bought an Nvidia card as was suggested. If you'd searched the forums, you would have known that there are a lot of ATI/AMD problems related to the Radeon cards. The nvidia cards have almost always been trouble-free (almost). |
