PLEASE explain Soultaker to me!

Ok, maybe I'm a little stupid but I can't see why souldtaker should be so op?
My 1h weapon does more dmg than soultaker so the whole issue has to be about: 1.) Your physical damage can chill 2.) Melee attacks can't fail based on cost Since almost every mob dies really fast who gives a flying shit about that chill thing? So everything has to be about: Melee attacks can't fail based on cost Please explain to me what exactly does that mean. And why would it be good since every melee I know uses RT anyway? As I said I'm maybe stupid so pls enlighten me! "Yes, it is perfectly fair. It just sucks ass."

By fail it doesn't mean miss, it means that the skills still cost mana.. but if you run out of mana.. you can keep casting as if you did have mana. So basically you can use your entire mana pool for auras, and have the msot expensive attack spell you want, and be fine.

broken shit worth 20ex for the only reason you can cast a 400 mana skill even if you only have 1 mana left and it will do alot of dmg

" If you are not specced into BM with the weapon you find better than Soul Taker. Reserve all your auras until your mana reaches almost 0 or does. Now try your main skill with it. Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

Well, hows about that:
1. You use Blood Magic for your attacks. 2. You got Soul Taker and replace that BM for GMP, LMP, Life leach or whatever you want. 3. Keep rolling like nothing happaned (or like you got an additional link to your skill). 4. Like a boss. OP? SURE ITS NOT! Put on your red shoes and dance the blues.

Stack all the beneficial auras then use cyclone until every mob in the map is dead.
It basically turns you into a whirlwind barbarian in D2. Remember when I won a screenshot contest and made everyone butt-hurt? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

" Ahhhhhh, now I see. Thanks a lot for explaining this to me! @all: thanks for your answers! In that case the axe is really nice but I still like my weapon better. My weapon does more dmg and thx to manaleech, mana regen and mana on block I can run my attacks forever with only a very small manypool left and I use 7 auras already (6 + tempest shield). I do not even have another free gemspot for using another aura tbh. Imo the axe is really good but for sure not OP. But hey, this is just my opinion. :) "Yes, it is perfectly fair.
