Official Blender Post! Lets theory craft for 1.2! 123k Cleave DPS!

thise ie hard to play that build on Hc , i died 2 times thise weekend, 48crule 1700hp full resist, and 30 lvl normal 960hp just in 1 second....i dont know what is wrong but thise is so not cool:/

One thing is not really clear to this build: is the "x elemental damage" useful in any way to this build? Right now at lvl 45 i`m still using a dual of Mightflay because of high psychical. So the questions are: should i avoid as much as possible elemental on any gear part and what weapons should i head to for better performance?

Weapons - Your concern here is high attack speed and high PHYSICAL damage. Elemental damage on weapons does absolutely nothing for this build. Both swords, axes and claws work well. This build does not have any weapon specific nodes on it, so you can mix and match. I am not a fan of dual axes as you can no longer use whirling blades then.

elemental damage doesn't scale in this build at all
unlike %projectile that increased also elemental damage, nodes and gems in this build are all about physical damage.
You don't need to "avoid" elemental damage, just ignore them, 1-10 elemental damage add 5 to your dps while 1-10 physical may add 500 to it

playing melee is always harder in HC as you need to be between mobs to damage them. Slight de-sync, mistake or crit from a mob and you might be toast. Never played HC in this game but i just don't like how easy it is to go from full to near zero health in a second even with full resists.

If i would be to play HC i would start with range for sure :)

Mana leech recovery is not fast enough to keep your pool up ( at 40 mana cost is 280/sec ).

I just had to say: this is abut the most asinine thing I've ever read on these forums.

Also, working toward this build is EXTREMELY noob friendly, and I highly recommend it to anyone just starting out (more than any other build I've tried). Just go for all the life nodes in each build step first before filling out the damage nodes in each 20-point step. Use dual strike with Melee splash and added fire damage in the early game and also leap slam.

New players who've tried other builds will laugh at how easy this is.
