Official Blender Post! Lets theory craft for 1.2! 123k Cleave DPS!

What would be the main set of skill gems for this build when leveling? I'm currently level 21 on nemesis and I'm finding it hard to sustain mana due to the high amount of mana multiplier. I use 'Dual Strike-Melee Splash-Life on Hit'.

I would like to start of by saying thanks for a greta guide, helped me aloot :)
I do have a few questions tho...

1. You say BOR is the most important item for the build. Personally i do not have a BOR but this build was near unplayable untill i got my self a Soul Taker. With that said isnt Soul taker the most important item for this build? :)


2. You mention that life leech is important for the amulet. Are you not able to sustain your self on blood rage and a ring? Just asking as it is near impossible to get a decent amuelt with resistance life and lifeleech.

3. Are you aiming to push in 3 Auras at some point or? :) And if so wich ones...

4. I have preatty much the spec u have with 4% life regen per second and the blood rage is costing 3.8% per second and im still losing life when its running why? :)

You are having hard time due to three factors:

1. Your gear lacks resistance. In merciless you should have close to max resistance to all apart from Chaos

2. Your weapons are very very weak for your level. Those are 120-130 DPS weapons. You don't do enough damage. I takes too long to kill large packs so they destroy you (due to lack of resists)

3. rest of your gear sucks (sorry). You need to get gear with loads of health and resistance. I have no idea why you keep this helm/mask ???? It gives you nothing (not even 3L). Only belt seems decent, maybe gloves as well. use chromatic orbs on your chest until you get color combinations so you can put Blood magic gem with your current setup (so you need to get RRRGG) and this will make your mana issues go away as you probably can't spam Dual Strike.

Just farming docks for a day or two should give will you enough items to improve your gear to no end. Just make sure you have MAX FIRE resists due to dogs being most dangerous mobs there. Also use ruby flask when fighting them and you will be fine.




@ngek1982 no - it was dropped from trash on a way to him in one of the levels within Scepter of God. No idea about Soul Taker but i am sure he can drop both (just very very low chance)

I think BoR is much better then ST if i would be to choose between them. You are getting 7L with one of the skills being blind (defensive stat). All you have to do if you don't have ST is to use BM gem and it rocks ... 18K DPS with 240-250 weapons and i die only to Dominus when i over commit and think that my Life Leach will do it ;) Soul Taker makes this build just better (as probably any melee build) due to increasing DPS by a lot and knowing that you can spam other skills dependent on mana without worrying about it.

You want to at least get your Chaos Resistance to 0.

Not so sure about this one. I run with no chaos resistance on gear and I do well. I have not done high level maps though so maybe once i get to this level i will change my mind.

yeah Chaos Resistance dun have it to i have -60 but I'm ok with getting Mobbed.
Fire and Cold probably on Sceptre of God is much needed. especially when you get to see those Mob that cast Freezing Pulse it will instantly suck your HP pool :D it was my problem before but not anymore :D

Can apply this build for Shadow CI? Can u suggest me a passvie skill tree for it?

There are far more important nodes to take at the start than that one, you can grab it later.
