Any way to speed up the load times?
Between areas the load screen can take around 30 -45 seconds, almost 1 minutes.

also my fps is very low ;[ its around 20-25 fps.

i got os x 10.8.2
3.6 ghz intel i5
8 gb memory
graphics is ATI Radeon HD 5670 512 MB

btw its a 27 inch iMac
1 tb hard drive, with like 95 percent free

overall i would say my mac should be able to run the game at a much higher fps.
i turned off shadows, and put medium graphics. turned off anti aliasing and turned off post processing... still laggy and slow load times? any tips please.

thanks.

That's really wrong. I dunno why, but you should be getting much better rates than that. I have no shadows, medium graphics, and post processing on and I get 25 FPS and 30-45 second load times with 10.8.2, 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, and a Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256MB and only 20GB of my HDD is free.

So the fact that my piece of shit is getting the same performance as your much better computer is definitely odd. I dunno what you're doing :P.

People are not to used restart macs, although it is not needed for normal work and media playback, it is needed for games, as mac has weird memory management... I needed to restart my macbook pro after 5 days, because I got 4 fps ingame when I was first trying 4.0, I fastly reverted to the previous attempt, which has normal performance and the perf was awful there also. So I rebooted, and the FPS ingame went back to normal...
Tried the game for the first time with version 4.0. It takes a minute or two before it loads the login screen, but after that it ran great. There were a couple of minor lag spikes but that does not necisarrily speak to the client. All in all it was a good experience. My machine is a 2011 MacBook Pro w/ aftermarket ram & ssd upgrades.

I've been using 3.6. I've downloaded the new 4.0 but after unpacking, it's not responding. Do I need to delete the 3.6 version first?

No you dont have to delete 3.6. please send log from the 4.0
Hey, I recently downloaded the game (3.6) on my macbook air, and I can log in without problems, but when I reach the character creation screen the background is black. The bars for typing in my name aswell as choosing my league and the symbol in the top of the screen saying "Create character" is there, but everything else is black thus unabling me from choosing my character class. Is there a fix for this problem, or is it just my computer that can't handle the graphics?
Edit* i copied the content.ggk into the program files folder. But the main POE icon still says its only 251mb.

After double clicking, the POE icon appear on the dashboard. But nothing appears after quite awhile.

This is what my log says

I've been using 3.6 fine, but when I use 4.0 I notice my cursor lags behind and tries to overcorrect itself.

Easiest way I can see this is when I pick up an item, and slowly move it a few pixels, the entire item shakes back and forth to various positions around it. If i move my cursor quickly, the item in hand actually lags behind the cursor and because of this the click position is off-set when moving the cursor, but not at all when you stop moving it.

I do not have this problem with 3.6 at all, and with the exact same config file this occurs in 4.0, in fullscreen, windowed, or windowed fullscreen regardless of resolution

Here is a clip to show it in action.

I tried 3.7. Able to start and enter the game but the mouse cursor is showing 2 cursors and the FPS is much worse (very volatile) compared to 3.6 (tested after 3.7). Still can't open 4.0.

So now I updated my client to 4.0, when I try to launch the game it bounces once and then shuts. Anyone else having same problem and have solved it that might tell me what I should do?
