Game Controller
I'm using xpadder to emulate the mouse and keyboard and that leaves me only six buttons or less that I can easily touch and that is so easy and it doesn't take away from game-play

Why can't you kids just answer the mans question? Lol.
Try googling Xpadder, that's what I use with a USB adapter to convert a PS2 controller over for use with a pc. Yes, it's rather clunky to play with a controller, but by all means it's not horrible once you get used to it. And I'm much more comfortable leaning back on my bed playing this over VOIP with some friends using a controller than sitting at the desktop, though that swivel arm for the monitor does help with positioning =P It's kinda ridiculous how someone can ask a question online, and get everything but a straight up answer. I hope once this game really gets going that they'll offer a direct-port for using a controller, but I don't see it happening. Besides, every game that does this lately bases it off of the %50 Xbox 360 controllers, which is stupid, but hey Windows rules the world ya know, so not much you can do but to adapt. |

Just noticed the post above mine mentioning Xpadder - only went through the first several pages of replies, 90% of which were just bored kids trolling the original poster or telling him what he wants, rather than just giving him an answer to the original question, lol.

It might work, i've never tried. Seems like button mapping might be an issue though. You need 5 for vials, 3-5 for basic skill mapping and then a couple other buttons for other functions such as inventory, maps etc.
Although i guess if you just did mouse emulation you could just use the GUI for most things, it would be significantly slower though than just hitting a button. |

Could someone send me the Xpadder profile?
Please PM thanks |

Wow, it's so ridiculous to read many of the answers "Mouse and Keyboard is way better", well guys most ppl already know that but wishes to use the controller anyway.
Personally I prefer to lean back in my couch and play on my TV since it is way more comfortable. If you don't have an answer for him then why write? I would try the Xpadder like ppl already said. |

the idea of using controller in this diablo online clone would make it feel more like diablo 2.5 as ive seen a friend of mine play diablo 3 on his ps3 and i it was quite awesome.... would be cool if you can move your character using the DPad in the keyboard. but it has to be a mouse... its easier just to use xpadder but as i said. to move use mouse.

" Left Mouse, right mouse, middle mouse, qwert, 1-5, shift and x are all that are really essential as the rest have icons on the screen.... 15 buttons A xbox 360 controller has a total of 16 buttons, two analogs and can map one of the keys to change binding profiles up to 10 profiles.... making one controller have a easy 150+ clickable combos on a xbox 360 controller before you even count combo clicking. And it has two analogs that can have tweaked sensitivity+deadzone settings to make the game a LOT easier then mouse/keyboard can be. There are also key press combos that can cause different buttons to do multiple things so button x opens map, while holding button y makes button x open inventory while it is held down. You can also trigger macros like /oos with autohotkey and bind that into a chain, so button y can drink a flask and then hit your autohotkey linked /oos in order. and if you get a xbox 360 controller you can route the game's audio through the pc speakers while voice chat is routed through the built in controller soundcard (with 2.5" headset). There is also even the ability to set a rumble feature to the /oos command and give you tactile feedback when it gets pressed and other uses.... overall fairly useful and powerful, but you need to know how to use it and what you want. edit - and yes, this thread is from 3 years ago.... but if it was going to be bumped with a open question that I can answer I might as well take the time to answer it because regardless of how old it is... its still indexed on google and other search engines and can appear in the top listings anyway. Until its locked, then google will never let a thread like this die in peace and will keep them essentially on thread life support by sending people here.
