It definitely should work, its pretty hard to test but as far as game mechanics go it should.
Really like the build but i went templar route instead. After passives are wiped in the next patch i might try shadow route instead.

I definitely need more cast speed. Silly how tooltip doesn't change when Concentrated Effect is gemmed to fireball.

That's a little weird way of counting your dps, dont think thats very accurate.
Maybe you should add totems in all of your gear and spam them for 99999 dps?

I just wanted to say that I tested this build (with slight alterations) and now at level 71 it's pretty powerful and awesome.
I run a hybrid necro/fire witch with a focus on fireballs and burning dmg. Love the build works great.

Updated build, went towards shadow crit due to suggestions, hitting around 14000 dps right now at 30% crit.

I added elem prolif to my personal fireball, most of the time im just casting totems + cursing + picking up loot. But when there is a particularly large group elem prolif speeds up killing time decently as far as I can tell.

With mana leech on my witches fireball also I can handle any map mods but elem reflect, temp chains, and no regen. (Goatmen kinda suck because they will hop before totems are there to distract them)

At this point I have around 4000 ES, I would never die if I was running more than like 0% resistances >_<

Awesome :P, no one believes me in global that fireball can be pretty sick lol
i have 1 question, u have flask which grants "all hits are critical strikes", its about only psyhical attack or speels too?

Diamond Flasks affect all forms of damage but only last for a short period of time - 1.8 seconds max.

Jlpeebles, in your opinion, are totems less effective now that range was nerfed and sometimes does not aggro properly?

I've been looking into a build like this. I'm curious however. I was looking into the double totem fireball...but using Fire Traps for personal while the totem blew them up. How important are the +% buffs passives you took (Inner Force) to this build. I was looking at it and if you remove those you could grab one of the trap clusters near the end of the shadow build.

With all the fire passives, +burn % and extra AoE passives already included I would think it may work. Opinions?
