Discharge Guide

I got pretty much all the gear that I can use at 57, switched discharge and now I'm just blowing up Merc. Pretty amazingly fun.

Just some advice I have:

1) If you're going to use Voidbringers at an early level (55), do no level your ice spear. In fact, you shouldn't level it at all. You want that mana usage to be as low as possible in case you don't crit with it.

2) Don't accidentally over level your green gems or you'll be spamming chat to buy lower ones once you start removing some early used gear that may have dex on it.

3) Make sure you have unwavering stance before you start exploding or you'll punch through your computer screen when you get stun locked by archers and what have you

4) Have fun splodin', my dudes.

Are you sure you arent exagerating about how good this build is? I used a very similiar build with 7.7k es and did a ele weakness (and im even slightly overcapped) and reflect map. I almost died multiple times. This is with 7.7k ES and you have 5.7k! I'm fairly certain I would have died if my ES was 5.7k.

How are you dealing with these type of maps? I dont even take the spellpower node (40 crit multi) even when its +10k dps because it makes this build weaker to ele reflect.

Don't get me wrong. This build is very powerful, but running "all mods" isn't one of its strengths. In fact, thats one of the biggest problems in my opinion.

How much dps was ur discharge at with a rathpith equipped and at full charges?
Coz mines at 50000, is that ok considering the fact that i use a shield and not dual divinarius?

With no Voll's Devotion in regular Hardcore league, what amulet would you suggest as a substition?

A few more questions, is it possible to farm docks without some of these uniques such as Dream Fragments and Rainbow Stride, for poor people like me? Those 2 items cost 6 exalts in total and I gotta farm to get those items. Docks safe enough to discharge or will I get frozen from archers?

Hey, Mass wrote this guide after talking with me a few weeks ago. Specifically because I wanted to make a character like him. Now I'm 81.

Some thoughts:

--The mana regen on Perandius is way more important then I thought.

--lvl 1 ice spear is the best.

--104 dex is your max, so nothing above that level.

--3% exp is sooooooo nice.

--I clear Lunaris 3 from start to Piety in 3 to 3 and a half minutes.

--All the maps I've done the only time I died was to flicker strike mobs before I could gain charges. :(

--If possible while leveling find a friend who is running the same build or is a Frenzy Archer who is willing to wear conduit gloves (holding down right click and just watching explosion after explosion is awesome).

--Not having Conduit yourself makes you kind of an asshole to everyone you party with.

As for your question about farming docks without Dream Frags. Yes. So long as your belt and helm provide cold and fire resistance caps (along with running purity of course) you'll do just fine.

Hey, I found a Void Battery the other day farming on my summoner, so I decided to sell off some gear and buy some other discharger gear.

I'm still missing Rainbowstride and Dream Fragments. I'm using Wanderlust for my boots right now to prevent being frozen.

Anyway, I just hit 68 last night (the level requirement to use Void Battery and Rathpith Globe)


I swapped over to CI, got the necessary talents (although my ES is still a little lacking, need more talents)

I went right into a Dunes map and started absolutely melting face. Everything dying in one hit, without curses, just rockin' it.

Then I got to the boss and I KNOW my discharge wasn't doing the kind of damage it's supposed to. Had to do a lot of dancing on this Leap Slammin' mofo. Is this just because my discharge is only level 16 still?

Rainbowstride and Dream Fragment don't really offer a DPS increase, and I already have the Void bringer gloves equipped as well.

Yeah this build got some weakness.
Map with -resist + ele reflect are the worst case. But i have played some ele reflect maps with shield and without my curse. I used Enfeeble for this mod.

On Hardcore this build is not the best... Check out my Explosive Arrow Build. This Build is more powerfull on Hardcore.
Without Volls devotion youre running out of charges = very bad situation = no dmg = you will die if you dont react fast enough.

I dont recommend Void Battery... Thats a powerfull uniq but think about the exact stats. If you dont have any power charges = no dmg, if you got them = spike dmg = kill yourself on ele reflect. This Build got so much dmg, you wont need anymore.

If youre discharge is high enough (19-20) and you got the right uniqs + the right level you can oneshot this boss wihtout the second form (leap slam mode). I have done this so many times, not only on dunes. I 1 hitted that boss on spider forest without grabbing his sword to leap slam.

I'm using Kripp's enduring cry discharge build, and I'm wondering if Divinaus Skean is better than my current sceptre??

Divinarius gives more crit then that but less damage. At level 19-20 discharge, even as a fire-discharger you'd rather the crit then base spell damage IMO. Plus 10% increased radius works with elemental proliferation.

But tbh the best bet for a fire discharger is 6L Searing Touch. Burning is crazy good with it.
