On the topic of the gloves, I think they should really add some form of survival bonuses (either in the form of life or resistance) because you kind of sacrifice 2 item slots to be able to use them (weapon and gloves).


So, yeah, could it be possible to add say, 25% to one resistance and maybe 40 life?

The idea of sacrifice is a tough one, though. Consider my sword: sacrificing off-hand altogether for extra damage and attack speed, basically. You still lose either the mods and slots of your off-hand weapon or the block chance/defenses/mods/slots of a shield.

So as much as I wanted my sword to totally compensate for the loss, it just couldn't be done.

That said, what is gained is still more than viable at its appropriate level.

I feel the same is the case with Facebreaker. It enables some amusing builds but not one does anyone using it hold the illusion they'll have the same level of options as when playing 'traditionally'.

Making these things work is definitely part of the fun.
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

That said, I do think that if it is to be "viable" in any way, some more stats could be added. It'd just be cool to see someone playing through rare endgame maps with facebreaker.
can't really compare it to a 2h weapon vs dual wield/shield

facebreaker replace the weapon slot while consuming the glove slot but only really has weapon stats on it.

You essentially have 1 item eating 2 slots (a 2h weapon only eat 1 as the 2h weapon has stats by itself). The facebreaker doesn't really have stats that is exceptional (if compared to a later weapon).

I'm not gonna lie, I have a lot of fun with it, but it's very hard to get dps increases after the point where I am and the additional survivability hit from them makes me believe it just won't be viable for maps (I'll say when I get there).

I agree with most of the suggestions but i would go even further

1. Dual fists - right now you can go fist/shield or fist/quiver (which is kinda stupid imo) considering that with fist shield you can;t use shield charge i would think of giving dual fist attacks speed and block bonus like dual wield - but even better cause you sacrifice another slot.

2. ppl already mentioned the crit chance 0% just makes it hard from character building perspective - either let us increase the crit or let us use nodes like "1 handed dmg increase"

3. Aoe skill - i would like to see Ground Slam or Leap Slam usable with fists - preferably Leap Slam cause it fits better imo - Imagine jumping "Hulk Smash" style with bare hands and smashin the ground at the end.

4. Headbutt - awsome idea but i would make it like you grab your opponent and headbutt him dealing physical dmg +% of armor value of your helm and stun your opponent. Ofcourse with balanced numbers dmg and stun.




I don't know about the crit chance because I do get crits with it (enemies shatters and I have no source of crit at all).
