Can't install - "Bad allocation"

Operation timed out while downloading !!!

After 50 minutes of allocation space and checking resources downloading stopped around 4% with some error regards missing file or something like that.

After restart and checking resources appeared Bad Allocation.

can't even install here, i've tried doing a clean reinstall for the patch.

not beta anymore. this is 3.0 released

I bumped into the same problem after the launch of 3.0 recently.

Here's what fixed it for me:
1. Switch Path of Exile.exe's compatility mode on to Windows 7
2. Run Path of Exile.exe with administration priviledges.

I'm running on Windows 10 with the latest updates from Microsoft.

Seems the twitch app caused this problem for me. When I closed it I could install again

Im not using any twitch app, I have W7 and I tried launching as administrator. Still having "bad allocation" error. Any ideas?

i've been able to fix it by downloading the file by torrent and coying it into the poe folder and letting it do the " allocation" for over an hour

I had this error after i moved the game files to a different drive and created a new shortcut to the PathofExile.exe instead of PathofExile_64x.exe. Once i ran the _64x version i didn't get the error, I know this would fix everyone's issue but might help someone.

I've just experienced the same issue (Windows 7 64 bit). I stopped a few background processes (Samsung SSD Magician, Razer stuff, Eaton UPS Companion and a few other things), and it worked. Didn't have to reboot.

You know when installers usually say should close all running programs before installing? Well it seems to be true for once.
