Remove Stats (Str , Dex , Int)

Remove Strength , Dexterity , and Intelligence from the game completely.

They only serve to complicate the game unnecessarily. The barriers and obstacles they represent are already covered by the magic properties on items and the passives available to the different classes.

=========================
Lets take the example of intelligence. With higher intelligence you can equip more powerful spell gems and equip items with higher amount of shields on it.

Now remove Intelligence completely from the game. What are you left with. At first it would seem like you could equip anything at all without repercussions. This isn't the case though. If you equip a variety of different equipment your character won't be focused enough to be viable in the game.

You will want to equip items that synergies with the passives and other equipment that you are currently wearing.

Now this may seem to be a problem for weapons. Yet if you are using a specific set of gems you will want to equip the appropriate weapons for those gems. Caster = Wands (usually) , Archers will need to equip bows.

==========================

All I am saying is that the stats are redundant and completely unnecessary and should be removed from game. It would make the game simpler yet more complex.

Any thoughts on this?

I too, wish they removed the stats, I agree much
Oh my god, are you guys serious?
We dont need more simplification! This is an ARPG for hardcore gamers and the stats provide and secure the uniqueness of the builts.
In addition the characters recieve special stats from the attributes which make them a big point in planning a character. If you want high hit and evade chances you need to get dexterty, if you want more meele damage/ survivability you can boost them with more str. Removing the attributes would destroy the 3 big unique styles of defensive character playstyles - the fast ninja evading style, the high life tanky style and the energy shield defense style and as well the offensive unique styles - more damage , more hitchance , more available mana for more expensive spells.

Lol if anything theyll make the game more compplex and add a 4th stat
The attribute system is perfect trinity now, no need to overhaul it. Overall balance is different thing but that's not what this thread is about.
I confirmed that I am still in HC league. Then I died.
Not to bring up that redheaded stepchild of a game cough *D3* but we have seen how detrimental oversimplifying a game can be.

I'll stand firmly behind a company who breaks the mold and is not afraid to make the stance of: If this title is too hard for you or does not cater to your simple mind please go play something else.

I think the stats are perfect the way they are now.

You have the stat allocation from D2 hidden behind the skill tree. It's shockingly well-done!
I agree. Change the str,dex,int nodes with similar bonuses (+life, +mana ect) would be cool.
Terrible idea is terrible. Other people can elaborate for me.
In Wraeclast, if someone tries to kill you... you just kill them right back.
All three stats have actualy gameplay mechanics behind them as well. Intelligence increases your mana and Energy Shield, Strength increases your melee damage and health, and Dex increases your accuracy and evasion. By removing the stats (and conversely those increases) you are removing about 1/3rd of the skill tree, and impacting the way the passive bonuses of those stats play into character development.
