[0.11.2] Onslaught League - Double Strike Duelist - 5 Aura's - 15% Lifeleech (updated on 19-07-2013)

Suggestions about gear:
- The Claw: At lvl 60 you should be able to get a much better Claw (over 200 phys atleast). Aim for the "Great White Claw". - The Chest: Try to buy a white 5L, and AR/EV is the easiest as you can roll 3 Red + 2 Green the easiest on that one. - The Shield: Your shield has no life, 50 life should be a minimum on your shield. - The Belt: Go for a Rustic Sash, you get more DPS that way. After that replace your Jewelery to match your resistances. Ofcourse your rings could be better but I can't tell you to change them right away as you probably put them on to fix your resistances. Thanks for the suggestions. I have been trying to roll a better shield but no luck so far. Haven't seen any great white claws yet, was hoping I could find one soon. I have been trying to get a good leather belt but I'll try and get a rustic sash, that makes sense. As for the rest I am still pretty poor so will upgrade as I can afford haha.

How is desync with this build? I plan on using a CI variant but I'm really worried about desync using Double Strike. I'm kind of wondering if maybe I should just go dagger and LS.

Got to try the build and is really cutting through mobs once the basic 4L is working :). It's actually my second char, as first one died in Cruel Catacombs due to overconfindence as it was destroying the mobs lol (had max resists and 65% dmg red), but started a new one and its plowing hru mobs as the first one.
It's even luckier, can't wait to reach 46 to use this baby!: Using DS both as single and AoE attakcs now and toying with shield charge, whirling blades and flicker strike for mobility and escape techniques; so far the equipment I managed to get is: Still will need some good phys claws later on, but with time I guess... all in all a very solid build and very nice mix of survival/dps,! |

" No problem, you will get there :) You will see that once you buy or find a better Claw your damage will go up by alot and thus your survivability as well. About the belts, I alched 10 Rustic Sahses yesterday so I might have something for you in there. Just gimme a whisper and we'll check it out. " Desync is doable with double strike. Ofcourse u get some minor desyncs because of the high attack speed but it's not leading to dangerous situations. You have to be carefull with whirling blades though, that one has a much higher risk to it. Im still looking into the going CI part. I wouldnt do it without an insane chest with 600+ Evasion + 600-ish ES. But getting the right colors on a chest like that will cost you over 500 Chromatics I reckon :) Postcount +1

" Looks decent. I guess you'r still leveling and thats why so much gear has no life on it. That will become more important as you reach the end of Cruel / start of Merciless. Doing Vaal with 1500 Life should be enough. Piety around the same, maybe a bit higher. Then gear up at Merciless Ledge and Fellshrine and once you reach level 70ish go for another gear replacement to get yourself ready for maps. Glad to hear you like this build. I too died twice with this build already, theorycrafted some new ones but didn't have half the fun I'm having with this build. You'r just a tank who can facetank everything. Facetanking Merciless Brutus is a joke (although I suggest a Granite). Keep them comments and whispers coming in. Also I talked with some guys about this build, I might take Unwavering Stance around lvl 70, still debating it but I think (and they with me) it would be very usefull in maps (shieldchargers, rhoas, etc). Aye, I lack some hp on grear, as I'm still leveling, got to find better gear, will come with leveling.
Indeed I took a slightly different route as you specified, and getting a bit more defensive, going up to Vaal Pact's area (to later take VP when 12% life leech nodes are taken to counter reflect mobs) and getting the 3 resist nodes for merciless(can respec out of them when gear covers resists, and use those 4 skills to get Unvawering Stance later in game) and extra hps nodes there. http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgQABS0OrRPAFSAY2yFgKaUs6TF7Mgk6s0CgQ5xHfkp9U99Y21uvYEtlTWegapVuaXTtdPF674TZhO-Hdoo4kAqZK5uDnrmjOqvFrK-9gb6nwA_EuNJN1fjdDe9O_MUqTT8nbqquk6ZXOuGI8Wz2guSQEYqvKjiSzeKArEc= Btw, for leveling purposes, and until you can get a 4L and the multistrike gem, I was using cleave, wich is free and swords/axes normally drop more than claws. With the first char, I did Crueal Vaal with around 1500, around 63% dmg red and max resists, and I hadn't many issues (even survived a non-crit smash due to desync, that scared the heck outta me lol). I see :)
Im not a big fan of Vaal Pact when you're still life based. Potions will save your life so I'm not sure if thats the best dicision, but as long as it works for you it's fine :) I just remember myself playing maps and with bosses it's still handy to have 2 Insta-pots, as bosses hit hard. Thats why I want to take Unwavering as well, bosses do stun with hard attacks which interupts the lifeleech which makes your life go down. So if you're taking Vaal Pact be sure to get Unwavering as well, if you get stunned you won't leech at all and with no life-pots at your disposal you're at great risk. As for the Cleave thing, I suggested that as well in the starting post didn't I? But I dislike Cleave so much I refuse to use it ;) Postcount +1

Hi.
Im following your build for 3 weeks now and i have a lot of fun with it. About the Claw: Is it important to have high physical damage on it, only? Or can it be phys/ele too? Greetings |
