Lv96 Poutsos' Flicker Nuke - Outdated

I just noticed: you could spend the 3 nodes you spent on getting the mental acuity notable passive on the three remaining critical strike chance nodes, increasing your increased crit chance from 30% to 45%. Ignore this if you want the +40 to int :P also, How do you deal with Vulnerability + phys reflect maps? Better stay in the land of the damned, Exile. Here, even the very words are corrupted by Nightmare.

" Hey!Yep,i do need that extra intelligence especially after the CI nerf :D.Not to mention that i am already low on mana! I dont deal with such maps,i reroll them :D.Physical reflect is hard as it is.I have uploaded a phys reflect map.I also recorded a coves map with phys reflect and double boss and managed to survive but i was playing on power saver and the lag makes it unwatchable,to upload.Generally for phys reflect maps i wear 2 death rush rings,replace increase melee physical damage with life leech and use melee splash.I also use warlords mark and have costantly 3 endurance charges up and a granite.my flicker with life leech gem,double death rusn,blood rage and warlords has a total of over 31% life leech but more importantly i lower my DPS significantly.For vulnerability + phys ref,the only way i see is to 5L lightning strike with life leech and use that excluysively,while folowing all the other steps. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/417287 - Poutsos Flicker Nuke Shadow

" It definetely can hit 200K dps single target.U need a godly dagger though.With a 5L my single target is 137%,so it is safe to assume that with added fire damage it will be 150K if not more.I also beleive that flicker strike with splash can provide the highest AoE melee DPS.The only other way to have so high AoE damage with melee is propably a cleave build with dual soul taker and criticals but this is almost impossible to build. About taking power charge instead of frenzy it is about each one's play style but i would definetely take frenzy.Frenzy adds more DPS on tooltip but more importantly,much easier to gain and maintain than power charge on another attack and it allows me to flicker longer.Also my second most impotant attack which is frenzy,if 20/20,with each charge it gains 18% attack speed and 12% physical damage which is insane.THird,lightning strike,which i use to gain power charges,is the only attack that doesnt have multistrike so it really needs every speed increase it can get,to not feel like a snail.Another thing is that with 4 power charges my crit chance is 77%,which means 86% with curse.That is high enough already and with a diaond flask it is a ceratin crit.With a better dagger of 9+ crit chance i am sure i can hit the crit cap with just 4 power charges and the curse.But u already have 6 frenzy charges which is great.I am stack with 5,because i made the mistake with bandits.I am desperately waiting the respec https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/417287 - Poutsos Flicker Nuke Shadow

I meant to say that for flicker, going from 6 to 7 (15% increased speed is about 7% more damage, which is not as big for me as going from 4 to 5 power charges (50% crit from 600 to 650 crit chance is about 8% more crits and way more than 20 percent more damage). More charges work better on frenzy though. With 6 Frenzy I always have enough to sustain. Plus faster means less time to regen mama. And crits freeze and smash armor, and other nice things.

That would be awesome to cap crit. If I ever do, I might regret taking power charge. I considered seriously taking frenzy. I went with crit charge because of conduit keystone and sharing with my party. I map with buddies. The two are about even with my character, but with others, who don't have flicker or frenzy, I think 50% crit is better than 5% attack/cast speed.
My dream with the build is to go dual wield with 2 godly daggers, because you get a flat 10% speed increase, and better attack mods on a second weapon compared to a shield. I think that would be the way to theoretically cap out dps. Last edited by Sblak2 on Aug 5, 2013, 5:34:51 PM

" Uhm.... 1 power charge = 50% crit chance. To gain 8% crits, you'd need a 16% crit chance wep. Did you mean something else? | |
Do you know whether the 95% crit limit is set on the character, and whether critical weakness curse would raise your hits to always crit, 100% of the time? The curse doesn't alter the character sheet so maybe it overcomes the limit?
