eternal orb, what will their value be?
Here are three examples of how to use an Eternal Orb:
" Let's just imagine the reality of this... You saved 1500 fusings (double that in most cases) but you have a 5l already & don't want to end up with nothing, so you use an Eternal Orb on your 5link to safeguard it. You then use your 1500 or 6000 fusings & optional 30,000 - 120,000 Scraps/Whetstones and you don't get a 6link, you now have to spend your Eternal orb to get it back to where you started, 000's of Fusings down the drain AND an Eternal Orb & you are back where you started, no Fusings & no Eternal Orb. We are told that Eternal Orbs will be very rare so it is safe to say that they will be worth X amount of fusings but this number will have to be less than what it takes to currently get a 5link. If it is more then it would be more economical to just trade it for Fusings. " This method of 'crafting' (lol) is currently the most expensive way to create an item unless you are kissed by the God of RNG himself. GGG has stated that the new scrap/whet mechanic on whites is balanced because it actually takes more currency to craft a rare than it does to 6link an item. Just let that sink in for a minute. So the Eternal Orb will let you 'backup' your item before you ruin it with another Exalt meaning you can go back a step as well as potentially forward. Seems legit but again it will all depend on the market value of the orb, if it's too expensive it will not be an economically viable orb & will more than likely see the fate of Exalts as a 'mostly used for trades, too rare to use' currency. " At this stage not only have you found/crafted/traded for the godly item but you also have the right colour set up for your build. Someone wants to mirror it but apparently they want different colours. The only time you would use an Eternal Orb is if the person wanting to mirror your item is not willing to pay the chroms to return your item to where it was before. I have never been involved in mirroring an item but I would surmise that any mirror trades going on also account for the person with mirror also sorting out the chrome situation. Either way unless you have a 5 off colour set up then the cost of the chromes to put it right will be less than the cost of an Eternal Orb considering it's potential usage. I guess we will have to see how it all pans out but I am skeptical that the orb is all that 'useful' to your average player. More likely to turn out to be like Exalts where people are too scared to use them & they end up just a trade currency for the 1% to actually use. Time will tell. |

" So do I but the fact that guesses from this thread go from half an exalt - a mirror sort of makes it a silly speculation at this point. |

" I don't think you are understanding how it works. A scouring orb shouldn't be worth more than a white 6L. Eternal orb does not reset the item. It stores everything on the item so you can change/add to it but go back to the previous sockets/stats if you don't like the result. " and with all new sought after items introduced into an economy the price will be heavily inflated for the first few weeks since demand will be extremely high and the supply extremely low. I am sure at first the price will be outrageous but will quickly level out to something reasonable. |

Probably start at 5 ex, balloon to 10, then settle at 6.
I base this on nothing. No. Calm down. Learn to enjoy losing.

" hmmm 2 options i dont understand the eternal orb or you dont lets see what it does it makes a backup of your current item it doesnt add anything right so you roll your best piece of armor after 40 chaos you realize damm it wont get any better and use the inprint to reverse the mods same with 5l you roll and roll and roll wont get your 6l so you revert it to 5l i think you guys overrate this orb alot https://poe-ssf.herokuapp.com/. You can only use it once and then it is consumed.
Best way to use it would probably be after alt+regal 3 perf mod group rare, then each time you get an successful high exalt mod. So they will be used as many times as exalts are used, therefore they probably will be worth the same as 1 exalted unless their droprate differs alot compared to exalted. Do anyone know how it works btw? You use the eternal orb and the item gets a indicator that it got saved, the eternal orbs poffs, then what when you want to revoke the stats? You right click and choose either to revoke stats or delete the save? Sugarpuff level 86 witch default laugue

" Based on some stuff that Chris said and he explanation in the announcement. I'm pretty sure you just right click it, and then click the item you want to apply it to. It then probably makes a new item called an "Imprint" probably "Imprint of Apocalypse Song Thicket Bow" or w/e that has the same properties as the original. It can't be equipped, it can't be traded, can't be dropped, can't be destroyed? (hopefully) You right click the imprint and click the original to return it to those exact properties. If you no longer want the imprint, you vendor it for a Regret orb. IGN: NoahsArChen
