eternal orb, what will their value be?

stores image of an item for later use.

how much will this bad boy be worth?

if you had 200 of these and 1500 alts/augs/ 200 regals, 30 exalt nice, mirror it

your king for 1 peice of gear

do it for every peice, you beat the game

value who knows, sure they will drop as much as exalts do and hope theres no vendor recipe for them

I'm sure the devs have realized this and made the drop rate for eternal orbs half of the drop rate of an exalted, which is to say: almost non-existent
i would guess comparable to that of a mirror

which means 30+ exalts will drop per 1 eternal orb.

if not more rare than a mirror.

let's put it this way:
in hundreds of hours playing this game since OB, I saw how an Exalted Orb and a Mirror Of Kalandra look like only in pictures, which means my odds of getting one are roughly 1/10^10.
so my odds of getting a "high-tier currency" (Chris' quote) Eternal Orb? just 0.

the purpose of the orb is lessen the frustration of RNG-based crafting, but GGG are once again repeating the same dumb mistake - by putting the possibility of getting one into the hands of that same RNG, or a slimy RMT dealer near you.

seriously, why not make them quest rewards? or boss drops from the toughest bosses?

It will be more rare than an exalted and less rare then a mirror.
Brutus. Do you even sync?

Im guessing that when the first 1-10 drop, they be around 20-30 ex.
But Hopefully once things settle down and the initial "OMG NEW CURRENCY" goes away they will settle at around 3-8 exalts per. based on the fact that you will save around that much from having to no longer craft and recraft 3 affix bases with alts/regals after failed exalts.

It will never only be worth 3 - 8 exalts.

Too powerful.

If you have ever spent a ton of orbs trying to craft that perfect item, you would understand.
Basing value purely on usefulness is impossible. There's no way to gauge how expensive they'll be until we know what the drop rates are like.
i see the crafting process as being this...

start off with a white, transmute, alt, till you get near perfect rolls.

regal, till you get the roll youre looking for
if you do

exalt, if you get lucky are sitting on 4 awesome rolls....

then you have to ask yourself, should i use an eternal and exalt?
