Toggling show loot

auto loot is for "real" mmorpg not ARPG

im all for assigned loot etc but having filters and auto loot sounds a bit simple to me and since the devs seem to be having issues with anything but FFA loot theres no way in hell they well send it into your BP auto lol

For the "take all" button it really depends on the radius...
And you have to consider that you must react with and without this button, only the type of reaction (pressing a button vs. moving the mouse and pressing a button) would be different. If there are more items the mouse option takes longer of course, so in that case the cut-throat feeling would be influenced, you're right :(

So maybe it is better to dismiss the "take all" button but i still think that an auto gold loot option should be in the game!
No need for auto-loot to pickup gold. Because there won't be many times you see gold drop.

I don't have an issue holding alt or whatever, but I think the simplest thing to do is what has already been suggested here. Just allow the player to filter what loot shows and what loot doesn't. Just have them make a show all/ show magic/show rare/ show unique toggle in the options menu. Player chooses. Easy peasy. You could even have a "hide all" loot option if you so chose.

Also, D2 and othe ARPG's used different sounds to signify a drop of a specific kind. Perhaps they could just impliment sounds to accompany different qualities of items. That idea came up on a different board by a gentleman who was color-blind. I always thought it was a great idea.

The filter sounds like a good idea. So loot is always shown within the filter guidelines, and then you can push the alt key or whatever to show the rest of the loot?

Autoloot is a terrible idea. While autoloot for gold(running over it) works, it sounds like it is unnecessary with this game since gold isn't really needed to begin with.

I'm happy and used to simply pushing the alt key to see what loot has dropped though. I somehow don't think that this game will end up with the same problem that D2 had where you push alt and it doesn't show everything on the screen because there is too much loot. Eliminating the gold drops fixes that.
We currently do have a toggle key but no filters. I never even considered adding a filter... the white items haven't really been spammy. It's important to see/examine them in case they have good socket arrangements or quality.

I'll discuss the filter idea with the other devs.

First, it's awesome that the developers actually look and comment on these boards. Second, If adding filters in any way delays the release of the game... don't do it. :)

I say that only because I have no patience and this game sounds awesome.
