That part of what he said wasn't feedback and was more of criticism towards people like you. Know the difference.

Well, duh. I've been saying that since i started posting in this thread.
Thats how you make great games.
if you imply that ignoring the fanbase and not fixing your problems is a way to create a great game....why you do not start one yourself?
seriously voodoo by every post you make you make yourself look more and more ignorant than my 2yo kid
seriously...PoE is a sinking ship...go check xfire stats to get a measure..
When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself

Its a load of bull..
Just sayin'.
yes everyone that loves FFA loot is ninja...and you know the reason ?
cause in ffa system you can ninja all items w/o doing ANY DPS at all...

I "like" FFA, so you may want to re-word that a bit. Regardless, you shouldn't generalize.

I have been in a few groups where you can really tell some characters have crap DPS, but for the most part they are still helping by being extra targets for the monsters and taking risk.
Whats intresting about this too, is that they cant lead. If they go in one direction and the guy with the big DPS goes in the other direction they have to go back and follow. This gives the people who are doing most of the monster killing the advange by always being close to where the loot falls.

Being beta, they asked for feedback. I give feedback.
Hell, i would have given feedback even if they didn't asked for it in the first place.

I've got more important things to do with my time than reasoning with a person who generally doesn't like me.
Alls i say is `D3`. If that game didn`t flop so hard i probably wouldn`t even have heard of this game.
And before you say its Jay Wilsons Fault. Go take a look at the MASS amounts of posts from before release that where all positive. He catered to the masses and ingored people like me.

Because he is so obtuse that he doesnt even understand that his posts make a great disservice to the ffa cause/community.
Let people laugh at his aberations.

Spoken like someone who doesn't understand how F2P works. Large-scale online games, including all MMO's and games like LoL and PoE, either require or are vastly improved by large playerbases. Therefore, the F2P model provides a nigh-unlimited resource of players, which then provide party members and PvP opponents to paying players, which makes their game experience better makes them more likely to pay more into a game.
In other (cynical) words, F2P players are part of the game product provided to paying players, as well as potentially becoming paying players at a later date. I should know, I played DDO for free for about a month before dropping about $12 on the game to unlock some convenience features. In any case, F2P players are vitally important to the success of a F2P game, and as such their input should never be considered less important than a paying player's, particularly since paying players might not be aware of all the problems in a game.
So, in real talk...
Basically SELLING OUT is more profitable.
NooOoooo... Really? :D.
Now, the reality of selling out is. You may bring in more profit but you will lose the true core of your fans in the process. There are many examples of this in all forms of entertainment.
Selling out does rake in major profits very quickly. If making tons of cash is their main goal than selling out should be simple, easy and quick.
At this point they seem to be stringing all sides along. My opinion is they should just return POE to full FFA and remove all 'WHINE' loot rules from this game.
Or, they should just give in and make it instanced loot. Removing the looting mini game would pretty much kill the fun of FFA loot but it would shut every one up. It would be boring and dull as hell. But i bet people could live with it.
Or they could give 'options'.. Ruin the game and make it a joke. I personally won't play this game much longer if 'options' are put in.
In the end. The MORE they cater to carebear/whiners or what ever you want to call these players. The faster il jump ship to a new game when it comes around which caters to the old skool style of players.
Old school? Really, how old school are you? I've been playing online RPG's for almost 20 years, so I would call that pretty old school - and I can certainly see the advantage of loot options within the game. Anyone can make a game that caters to a small population. I did this myself with a board game a few years ago - it isn't that hard. It does take a great amount of effort to make a game that a large population will enjoy. If they wanted it to stay small there would be no need to invite feedback from a large player base such as this.
I admire a vision that includes quality game design, but I also admire a game design that listens to the people that play it such as this one does. I think that your vision of "old school" is extremely limited and not even close to all-inclusive. These aren't "carebears/whiners"; many of these are legitimate players that have been playing OL games a long time. This is the feedback that the devs are looking for by their own admission.
After reading through some of your comments it is easy to see that you aren't a "hardcore oldschool" gamer - you are just one that wants to take advantage of and steamroll others in your gaming experience. There are many long-time gamers who enjoy a higher quality gaming experience.
