Luckily, balancing is up to dev, and dev has acknowledged those as legitimate issues.

What did you expect, to tell everyone to go buy a new computer?

The only thing that CAN be done is making the client as fast as possible. But that is a tottally different topic and has nothing to do with balancing. And I agree to some extent with you, game is much heavier than it should be. I have some frame drops (especially in piety, I'm playing at 30 fps!) with my 2x6870. And when I'm trioboxing and try to alt tab everything freezes for 2-3 seconds.

People plese be reasonable. Also playing ranger and its imposible to loot anything. Especially when boss drops his loot for example 30 objects and screen is full of objects its imposible to loot anything especially two items its madness. Please extend loot time.

The same amount of items drops for other people too. If you can't loot anything while they can there is something wrong with YOU

Or maybe he's not very tanky and doesn't want to faceplant into a group of enemies just because one of them died and dropped something. Yeah, let's always choose between risking to die on HC and looting items, that's sure to make it more tense.

Oh.

Well that's not unheard of. It has even been used as a marketing ploy to sell the games graphics.

But GGG took a page off Blizzards book and targeted modern IGPs. And if users of your target hardware can't get loot, that's a problem. It's very telling that his quote is "why am I playing this game". Do you think a dev wants to have his customers think that?

I know this because I had a GPU malfunction last year and I was playing perfectly fine on the CPUs IGP although fps while playable wasn't optimal in bigger groups.

So there.

I don't think they did it in purpose. They are a small team and the game is still in beta. Eventually (and hopefully) eeverything will be fixed

I don't know man but read the first page of the thread... Chris directly mentions latency as an issue.

These things don't have good solutions... Way too many things involved.

The reason we like FFA is because it's faster, not because it is hardcore. The dev was right that minimizing time spent fussing over gear = better fun. I am not speaking on behalf of the hardcore, this is my opinion.

Are you really telling me current instance clearing is "faster"?? REALLY? Are you high? :D
.

You progress faster than if it was instanced. There is no denying this.

shure when im seeing 3 assholes in public games camping a fucking role of wisdom every minute (must be quiet hard drugs)

the ffa loot creates a incredible timesink in this game which instanced loot never ever does, even if all the playere where born with one finger on their hands it would be a faster gameplay than ffa

It's highly different having server sides problem leading to latency. That is THEIR fault and obviously, their responsibility. You (or anyone else) having a bad computer / connection is a different thing

Brian's quote doesn't appear to refer to that.

And Chris quote is from closed beta and server for the most part was silky smooth back then.

Why does it hurt you so much that devs consider customer ping and fps a problem? Do you fear you will lose the bounty from such an easy prey?

400+ pages, I guess people dont like the current loot system at all, at least not satisfied, please do something, GGG

1st step is to triple the loot timer, or even make it perm will be a good start.

Just because you see 400+ pages doesn't mean people doesn't like it, half the posts here are people that like the loot system, the other half doesn't.
