ALL what most of us are asking for are options, but people like you don't want even that..why? I have the answer, because if the party leaders were given options to FFA or instanced loot, 95% will choose the instanced loot and you know that.. That's why you fear that you won't be able to join any FFA games so you can take more loot than you deserve.. shame on you :D

Thats a load of BS.

Path of Exile delivers a very cut-throat anything goes, good vs evil kind of atmosphere. A feeling not felt since D2.

Its the soul of the game.

BTW. I never said i took more loot then i deserve, i just take as much loot as i can. Thats the soul of the game. I also, help as many people as i can and offer them items. If they ask me nicely il give them the shirt off my back.

Thats the joy of what a game like this brings.

No you're full of BS, you're just not a big enough man to admit that you get pleasure from looting our items!

*face palm*

Your items? Confused about what the timer actually means are ya?

Not my fault.

I have yet to see a sane person who actually likes this system. Maybe the scavengers like it because they enjoy taking items from others.

Consider this.. If this really was as "cut throat" as you want it to be, players should really just be able to kill each other anytime. If I was in this world and I'd see how someone took away something I wanted, I'd probably just try to kill them.

I understand the intention behind the loot system as it is. But since PvP is optional, why can't you just make FFA loot optional as well? So people who actually want to play with the "thrill" of getting items snatched away from right before their noses can still play that way then.

I think if some aspect, be it as good intended as you want, spoils the fun of playing the game, then that aspect has to be reconsidered. And getting loot stolen away by pilferers 75% of the time just is no fun.

Please give this system some more consideration.
The loot system totaly su.., its the only thing in this game what i totally hate. The loot system is the only reason why i play never, NEVER in random partys, only with friends in TS, where we can speak friendly, and share the loot.

I have lost so many good loots in random partys, sometimes my inventory was full, and i cant clean it fast enough, or im not fast enough with loot, while im in a fight, or hundred other things. I cannot understand why this game has not a loot system like D3, all have there own loot, and than we can trade with our loot.

Last but not least, its ok, i can live with this loot system, but random partys are totaly no go for me.
Only a Bloody Sword,is a good Sword !

SANE people actually understand the loot timer is NOT a FLAG of ENTITLEMENT.

The loot timer was put into place to allow players a "CHANCE" at drops.

At this moment, people like you seem to miss that FACT.

You think that the loot timer means the said loot is YOURS. Which is infact INSANE.

And is a really good reason to remove the loot timer all together.

Too many game companies try to make games to bring as many people as they can. And it always ends up crappy. Look at the 800 pound elephant in the room for proof. Its a game that is made to pull in as many people as it can. So it has no heart. It has no color. Its just a hand holding grindfest for more better loot. This game, however, isnt. Its made by people who want to play this game. Its dang near art in video games as you can get.

So your argument is essentially that if they try to bring in as many people as possible the game will become bad, and thus loot options are bad just because alot of people want it.?

That is completely void of all logic.

NO its not void of all logic. Its makes perfect sense.

Its like asking Justin Bieber to sound more like SlipKnot and asking SlipKNot to be more like Justin Bieber.

In the end if you want Beiber listen to Beiber... And vise versa.

There are many other games out there that cater to the more mainstream entitled plaayers needs from skill trees to loot. D3 is perfect for those people.

Instant skill swappping, personal loot etc. Why, in gods name would aanyone come over to another games where the games devs vision is FFA loot and demand change?

The biggest and only problem with current loot system is that people will stop fighting to get that rare that just dropped. It's really annoying, loot shouldn't enter their minds until all the mobs are dead, it would be better if timers started ticking from the moment last mob in the vicinity fell dead.

I think you're just being salty because you are afraid of losing your chances at stealing items in random games.

Never did I say it was a flag of entitlement. But harsh as the setting may be, the players have to work together to prevail. So sharing is actually a reasonable thing to do.

Selfish people who only think of themselves and don't contribute to the group would be outcast of most groups. So this should be considered.

The system as it is is lacking. And to many it spoils the fun more than supporting the atmosphere. And THAT is a real fact.

FFA looting gives a cutthroat feel to the game but we can't PK. Yeah, makes a lot of sense. If somebody is just hanging back and collecting loot or being a ninja, let me and the others go hostile on them and kill them. Then camp him until he leaves the group. Keep finding him in other groups and grief him until he quits for the day.

I actually like that idea :D
