You can grab your loot fast as you want, you can grab only other loot not so fast as you want, whats the Problem?

When a Legenary drops, the System says its yours, your inventory are full. You say, ah don`t mind, loot goes to another player i have every day Legendary loot? I dident think so.
Try your own build, rerolling again and again, more fun than Maps.

Do you even know why the timer exists?



They put in place so ranged characters can get a chance at drops.

Techically the only thing that is 'yours' is the timer.


Extending the timer would make it unfair to other people waiting to pick up that same drop.

The second paragraph is a very good point. I see it alot in MMOs. One group of players sees a feature as a way to get more of something by being sneaky. Another group wants the option to turn it off or change it while still keeping the feature in the game for those that want it. But the first group wont hear of it. Because the reality is, if it were allowed to be changed they would lose their sneaky advantage.

Personally I fix it by not grouping or only grouping with friends. That is what this game is about. Do not group with people you dont know. This is not a social group game. Its a ganking griefing game. And that is fine for me. I just dont group.

If this were a group only game... then I would have issue with it. But luckily its pretty solo friendly. So I can see both sides of the argument.

So IHouseI that is my solution for those that dont want to lose loot. Dont group except with people you know. Its sucks yes but this is the game the developers have made.

EDIT: I am happy they made this game. Its a game the developers want to play. Not a game that tries to cater to everyone. Only thing is, because its a game they want to play, my ideas of a game and theirs are not going to sync up. So I have to make changes in my playstyle. I dont want them to change this feature at all.

Too many game companies try to make games to bring as many people as they can. And it always ends up crappy. Look at the 800 pound elephant in the room for proof. Its a game that is made to pull in as many people as it can. So it has no heart. It has no color. Its just a hand holding grindfest for more better loot. This game, however, isnt. Its made by people who want to play this game. Its dang near art in video games as you can get.

My own opinion about this is that they should go full open loot, like in Diablo 2, sucks if your not fast enough, but that's how it is.

Ranged classes might be a bit on the disadvantaged side, but maybe make the loot drop/spawn in different places, and not just only right of the corpse of the mob?

Path of Exile delivers a very cut-throat anything goes, good vs evil kind of atmosphere. A feeling not felt since D2.

Its the soul of the game.



BTW. I never said i took more loot then i deserve, i just take as much loot as i can. Thats the soul of the game. I also, help as many people as i can and offer them items. If they ask me nicely il give them the shirt off my back.

Thats the joy of what a game like this brings.

Please increase a base time.
Now it's just too fast even for melee classes. :(

Yeah, so cut throat you can join anyone's instance and go PK them.

Ooops.

FFA is no cut throat, it's just a chance to take advantadge of people with low FPS or high ping.

Seriously...you think 2 second is enough for ranged? The latency for different games are so crazy that sometimes i see 300-500ms. not only do you see the item drop LATER, the delay sets in again and you click on it to pick it up. Effectively this bumps up to 0.6s to 1.2s delay for players. This 1second system is retarded. Why can't you put it up to 3 seconds for melee and 5 seconds for ranged?

Right now I just host all the games so I got zero 30ping most of the time, and yeah i grab everything I can because everyone does the same when I am in their games. It is retarded and the host usually gets most of the drops...
