This is what happens when we don't have a CM(like seriously, who even replaced Bex? I don't even know them). You lose touch with the community.
This league mechanic should have never gone core, old Breach was much better.

Mark is in charge of POE 1 at the end of the day, stop being naïve (no offense).
I actually think Mark is a part of the problem, he inserts a lot of ideals that would be useful for himself instead of the community as a whole. You have to remember Mark is a bit younger too, I have no doubt it was Marks idea to add in the extra gauntlet mods.
I think the idea behind keeping new breach is that it looks and feels more premium from an advertiser stand point. But the actual game play and arpg vibe is way off,
it's another method to obfuscate loot drops out of maps.

See.. I made a few points about the overall Breach mechanic, only to get replies (some of them actually plausible) focusing on the Tree, like “waaaah, the game is easier with the Tree, I disagree with you, therefore your IQ is low.”
What a childish response.
Chill. You can still make a profit without playing hideout warrior and crafting mid-tier garbage.
The way people are complaining about the Tree, it’s like it’s spitting Mirror-tier items for free, which is obviously not the case. You’re mixing up content being removed with profit margins being compressed.
Nothing was deleted from the game. Fossils, essences, fractures, Rog, Harbingers, all still exist and function exactly the same. What changed is that mid-tier crafting (the way the Tree is right now) is no longer an exclusive profit niche because accessibility increased. Calling this “early-mid crafting being killed” is pure hyperbole.
High-end crafting is still intact. Mirror-tier items still require massive investment, time, and knowledge. What the Tree mainly did was reduce the barrier to functional gear, not delete progression systems. Saying the Tree spits “6x T1 mods” all the time is a huge exaggeration.
The real complaint here isn’t power creep, it’s the loss of monopoly over mid-game crafting profits. That’s an economic shift, not a design failure.
Making the game less hostile to players who don’t want to live in their hideout 12 hours a day isn’t unhealthy. It just redistributes who gets to participate.
And yes, I do agree the Tree is overtuned, and it’s OBVIOUS it will be nerfed. The problem is people are crying like crazy, gatekeeping everything and going “muh PoE is getting casual, oh no my 450 hours invested in Craft of Exile are going to the trash, GGG sucks!!”
That’s not feedback, that’s hysteria. Just chill.

have you ever crafted midgame gear in this game?
normally, market needs a TON of fossils, essences, eldritch currency which is usually extremely expensive on leaguestart, also fractured bases for midgame gear were in demand and there's even farming strategy of -rarity and scarab of awakening+exiles. also harbies for raw fractured orbs.
tree completely annihilates these crafting progression. you just make the most obvious tree, passives basically guarantee you 6x t1 mods, allows you to block certain mods and choose which base you want, and prints multiple items per wombgift... and all this for 10c provisioning gift lol
Rog (the only useful expedition guy) is killed by tree, previously you could sell suppress+res gear to make some divines, now he is completely useless bc you need to farm logbooks and spend a lot of time crafting and dads with 30 children and 20 jobs can click slot machine and get 6x t1 necrotic armour with suppress
tree SHOULD NOT stay in the game. its just unhealthy. delete fracture, delete lucky links, delete passives which guarantee 6x t1 mods, nerf passives for blocking/favouring certain tags by x10 -> make tree nice SSF-only way of getting 5link and 100 hp 80 all res gear and its ok.
This is all solved by making provisioning wombgifts rarer...

Yes. I love the new breach over the old. Walls need to go though. Going forward, hopefully we just encounter normal breach portals or hives, with no walls to be seen anywhere, and defend Ailith is gone. This way we can choose to skip or activate the encounter as desired. As to Blood, this should just collect similar to Harvest. Would also like to see the foulborn uniques stay.
I do like new breach as well...all this drama will vanish once 3.28 drops and we will discover that the tree is nerfed and breachs are customized thru atlas tree.

Yep. The hysteria will end once the nerfs and rebalances to the Tree drop in 3.28. It’s just funny how some people don’t know how to give proper feedback without crying and gatekeeping everything.

Also, this is EXACTLY my point.
It seems the only people upset about this are those gatekeeping content from “casual dads” (how elitist can this get?) and worrying that their profits from crafting Necrotic Armours with fractured Spell Suppression and other mid-tier gear might drop.
Don’t worry, your 450 hours invested in Craft of Exile won’t be in vain, since the Tree will be nerfed. These kinds of complaints are just bringing shame to yourselves. Pure hysteria and elitism.
