Phrecia extend untill the end of the month
" steam charts are more accurate than your over 15k charrs above lvl x your way includes multiple charrs from the same accounts you shouldnt look at the "exact" numbers with steamcharts (event day one peak over 50k/ 24k peak today) the % is what you should look at thats just a little bit less than 50% of players quitting considering that around 2k were playing before the event noone is saying there arent ppl liking and playing the event but the drop off rate is really bad compared to the league start (couldnt remember the start date of the last event) |

Man......I know I said it already, but why is it that people love using statistics they......clearly do NOT understand. Y'all claim steamchart data is accurate and more accurate than other metrics.....yet you aren't reading or presenting them in any accurate way when it comes to defending the arguments.
You look at the "rolloff" of the current event in a vacuum as an indicator of "success" or "failure" of the current event. But you DON'T compare it to any other event, you don't take into account mid-week lull, you don't take into account original phrecia numbers, you don't take into account any outside factors, etc. If you want to use statistics of an event to "explain" how it compares......YOU NEED TO COMPARE it to something lol. And you need to do so CORRECTLY. Which is actually quite a difficult task with our access to very limited data. For the record: part of the reason Phrecia 1.0 was "more successful" in terms of steamchart numbers is MOSTLY because of the nonsense around Settlers being extended for almost DOUBLE the length of a typical league before Phrecia even started. And the astoundingly disappointing launch and prolonged absence of change of PoE 2 for many dedicated PoE 1 players. The playerbase was thirsty for ANYTHING, unlike any other time in the history of Path of Exile. It is damn near impossible to compare PHrecia 1 to Phrecia 2 because SOOOOO much extraneous reasoning went into the numbers of Phrecia 1. Phrecia 2.0 is following the same or BETTER than damn near every other event "Numbers" that has ever happened in the history of PoE (except Phrecia 1). Look at the krangled events. Look at the battle royale event. Look at the other regular events before Phrecia.......rolloff for EVENTS is always steep. Phrecia 2.0 shows no "unique" steamchart statistics that point to something being "wrong" with it. Starting anew....with PoE 2 Last edited by cowmoo275#3095 on Feb 5, 2026, 9:37:42 PM

"Hey guys, we are shitting this Phrecia event so you cant notice we cant develop anything new in six months. By the way, fuck you, have some gauntlet bullshit on top of it so you take twice as long to reach maps and hopefully dont reach endgame too soon and notice there is nothing new. Now, please, can someone suck our balls while we are at it?"
*huffs copium* SURE GGG, THIS IS SO FUN, PLEASE, MAKE MORE OF IT |

" That pretty much sums up this whole event yeah. A disappointment for all the people who were hyped to just play some Phrecia again, and were betrayed because it has gauntlet and enrage modifiers that nobody asked for. Maybe next time it will just be the normal game+Phrecia stuff, but I'm not gonna expect anything at this point. |

" I think what you mean, Toffy, is that some people were caught off guard because they had not read the announcement post. Everyone who did read it was fully prepared for what was delivered. There was no disappointment and no sense of betrayal. GGG delivered an event exactly as the community had requested. Real disappointment or betrayal would have occurred only if they had announced an event for a fixed timeframe and then never put one online. " >Goes to announcement posts >Ctrl+F "Gauntlet" >0 results We can't read minds. People were surprised by this event in the worst way possible, because there was 0 communication that it wouldn't be Phrecia, but just another gauntlet with some phrecia sprinkled on top. ![]() The numbers don't lie. Half the people have already quit, a few thousand per day are still quitting. And no amount of denying the facts will make those Steamcharts numbers go away. I would suggest revisiting the announcement post once more, as GGG made it quite clear what was going to happen. So, no, only players who skimmed past the post were caught by surprise.
As for your steam chart numbers, they can indeed be misleading if one is not fully familiar with how to read and interpret them, they do not paint a complete picture. The one undeniable fact, Toffy, is that some players simply do not understand what SteamCharts are truly highlighting.
