Chat Channels

Having a chat for a whole act would be good, but I think having a chat channel option for the quest you're on would be a good idea. This way if you're having trouble with a quest you can talk to other people who are on it, and then you could even group with them.
You should also be able to make your own channels to just invite a few of your friends to, or something along those lines. Friend chat is a good idea, but sometimes you may only want to talk to a small portion of them
Maybe there is an idea do make localization Channels, so that Spanish peoples talk to Spanish if they want. I think its a good way to support questions. My English is okay, but sometimes i want to ask something in German. But how can i find German players?

I think this would take some Talkers in different channels, so we get not too many Massages.

Localization is planned, why not begin with the Chat? =)

Maybe we can it setup in the Options, what languages we talk and then get this channels also.

PS: i haven't read all posts, if this idea is old. I'm sorry.

Hi there! Here are some ideas:

1. Help/Guide/Rookie Channel

Players would easily get an answer in this channel, for any kind of question and to motivate players to help others they would be rewarded in some way, considering they are actually helpful. This could be ensured by the helped out players referring to their helpers in some way. To ensure that players don't abuse this to get tons of "free loot", the amount of referring or the times of getting a reward would be restricted to a certain number per day. Also there would be different channels for players who don’t speak English.

(of course this would require changing or adding a bunch of things into the game, not just adding a channel, but hey, this is just an idea)

2. Tavern/Pub/Quiz Channel

This channel would be available only in towns/villages/camps, where players could do all sorts of typing games, quizzes, tell jokes, etc. to pass time.

3. LFG (Looking For Group)/Recruit/Gathering Hall Channel

A channel, where players could look for other players who also need help in a certain dungeon, boss, quest, etc and make a party easier. Not an original idea, but a necessary one IMO.

That’s all, for now. =)
Go!...Bwaaagh!
should be able to make your own private chat room/channel with passwords.

Another vote for private channels. Guild chat is great, but it doesn't help inter-guild 'alliances'.

Formalizing the idea of guild alliances and adding an 'ally' channel might not be a bad idea either.
Looks like theres nothing new to implement into this, because chat in all gmaes are more or less same, guild chat, general, whispers, party ect.
One Piece
what i would really love would be a private conversation chat.

In eve online you can 'start conversation' with someone, which opens a brand-new chat channel that only you two can see (unless you invite someone else to the conversation).

This is much easier than whispers and tells imo.
I added one player to ignore list by mistake, is there any chance on undoing it??
I would like an system channel as well, used just for global announcements (like for gm announce if it's any, events , etc), and important things ingame. Like killing a boss, picking unique loot, finishing a quest, receiving a new private message, etc. You get the idea anyway.
