Please watch the video before answering. Are we playing the wrong game, or are they? h ttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3GfYYtr9v4 Last edited by JoTua#1329 on Dec 30, 2025, 2:08:00 PM Last bumped on Dec 31, 2025, 3:54:25 PM

Devil's advocate but this is exactly meaningful combat. Notice he did most of the mechanics. He did not 1 shot Arbiter from the intro phase.
Minions can also do this, although slower. |

" So you're saying it's logical to kill an arbiter in 1 minute and 50 seconds without using any items, flasks, charms, or jewels? Dude, a friend of mine who plays a Bear build only managed to kill it on his 12th attempt! :D |

You don't need any armour or resistances if you know the game's mechanics.
I only play SSF and it is my duty as one to inform you of my status.

Again, I am devil advocating, and I fully agree some gems are truly unbalanced which is a shame, but in reality most of the gear, except the weapons are really just to increase survival. I don't mind someone being able to kill campaign arbiter with no gear. Hell my necromancer can probably do it naked too if a bit slower.

" My friend, the issue here isn't defense; nothing is being used for flat DPS. It's disgusting how easily the Arbiter dies like this. I don't even get that much DPS with my own character... |

" There's a difference between losers and winners. For those people who are losers, even if you give them a billion dollars, they will end up losing and squandering the money and they will also end up homeless on the streets eventually. For those who are winners, even if you put them in a handicapped position and impose all kinds of difficulties on them, they will seemingly somehow make things work and against all odds, achieve all kinds of success and achievements beyond your wildest imagination. 34pre98qua

" Relax boyo, the guy in the vid is using a broken op flat damage skills. Go and try this with fireball, while naked. Yeah, not. Too much nonsense about winners and losers, when the guy is doing more damage naked than other fully geared less spectacular skills. There is nothing winner or loser of using the op skills. This entire thread can be summarized in two words:
Skill issue. Bro is doing mechanics perfectly and has a well optimized tree for hollow palm with a good ascendancy that synergizes well with it. He has every handicap in the world against him (negative resists, hardly any defences), and yet he's spanking pinnacles because he understands the fights. Most of the 'build guides' people follow are not optimized for play like this, because they can not expect the vast majority of people to play at levels like this, that's why they're stocked to the brim with defensive mitigations to account for player error. His fight with T3 KOTM is even more impressive than this tbh. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKSjKJHmhb4 Now, that being said, this build could *not* do T15 6mod maps at all. He's clearly taking his gear off to prove a point for pinnacles, but mapping is an entirely different story. |

I saw the video a few days ago.
The only thing I took from it is that we do stupid amounts of damage which is already well known. Honestly I'd never seen his mechanics till recent because he dies instantly. I don't exactly like the whole pure MMO style boss mechanics. I much prefer more dynamic mechanics where you have to read their next attack, kinda like Monster Hunter. The enemy has set attacks but you never quite know which combo they're going to use or in which order. Bosses with very binary mechanics tend to bore me pretty quickly.
