Perma ban the streamers promoting exploits
|
If you think GGG is going to ban a famous streamer and big promoter of the game, you're crazy. There are 5 streamers who are above the law in this game, I don't even need to list them.

+1
if not ban, this game will turn into a bug-hunting game from now on. If you fail to watch these YouTubers, you’ll fall behind for the entire season, lmao. Not video game but streamer game! |

Has anyone considered how you actually prove who used the exploit?
Sure, you can "hang the streamers" because they're conveniently recorded in 4K, full commentary. That would make a loud example and it might even be deserved if they were actively encouraging it. But it's still a band-aid. It doesn't magically identify the other 5,000 people who did it off-stream, and it doesn't fix the underlying issue that the loop existed in the first place. And yes, "promoting it" can cross into malicious territory. If you're making guides and telling everyone "do this before it gets fixed", that's not testing, that's speedrunning the moral compass. But the part that's getting lost in the outrage is that endgame has always worked like this. The rich get richer because the game literally rewards being stronger. Atlas passives multiply loot. Better builds clear faster, get more rolls, snowball harder. That's not new, that's the entire ARPG treadmill. And then there's the economy itself. Flippers and manipulators are also "taking advantage" of systems that exist. They have currency, so they can invest more, buy faster, list higher, and print even more currency. Should we punish them too for being good at capitalism in a video game? If the standard is "anything that creates a huge advantage is bannable", we're going to need a queue system for the gallows. So yeah, punish obvious, provable, deliberate abuse where you can. Especially the megaphone accounts. But if the goal is a healthier league, the real fix is closing the absurd efficiency gap and communicating fast when something is not intended. Otherwise we're just picking the most visible villains and calling it justice. |

" You are creating a strawman here. This is not about better players making more currency but having 1 method printing 10 times and more currency when compared to everything else. |

" Many people gonna leave the game and no longer support it further if there is not gonna be ban for fubgun who was massively promoting exploit and saying that its not an exploit and its absolutly okey to do stuff like that. Last edited by Nomerius#1629 on Dec 30, 2025, 4:12:01 AM

" GGG had proved numerous times they have advanced logging and telemetry. Identifying users who ran hundreds of temple instances (and little else) in short time is no problem. Together with rather specific temple room configuration. Fixing economy is much more difficult, but should've been the main focus before damage became so widespread. |

In any league there will be an exploit, bug, unusual trade strategy etc that prints enormous amounts of currency and if you miss it you will never have anywhere near as much by playing the regular way. It's gonna be the same thing next league. Its up to you if you think that's a game worth spending serious time on or if you join the 'play for 2 weeks then quit til next patch' type players.

" Exactly. POE games ain't for casuals. POE games are for nolifers, RMT traders and nerds, who ready to rush every league by 10+ hrs per day for ones who would try and actually will farm hundreds divines per day who will do anything to find any possible ways to increase this amounts even more. The only casuals who will feel themselves fine here are the ones who ready to open thier wallets. BTW they are in advantage now, coz currency cost were greatly dropped in the past 2 days and continue. How it's still a rocket sciense for someone? Auctioneer House - is a MUST!
'POE2' is not 'POE1 2.0'! https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3614313 |

" As POE 1 and other ARPG veteran, i desagree with your position. Yes there will always be players looking for top strategies, efficiency and able to do this much faster than the average one. And thoses players will always be the top 0.1% but what we have seen here with holten exploit is something else. The gap it create and the inflation going with is so big that it just remember me the worst exemple i ever knew on ARPG for two decade. |
