removing piety's mercy from the game is a really bad move since there are a lot of builds that need it to function. also changing the voltaic + freezing marks to another generic damage boost is painful... everyone likes them the way they are. please don't change the marks bros.

Well... I played 0.1 and started 0.2. We quit the game. I left the game with 8 other friends. We returned during 0.3.1 and was enjoyable so far, although we are far from having all top items the game offers, but we felt we were able to do MOST of the content. Still getting hitkill, still not able to do ARbiter top tiers but it is ok, we started late in the league...
and guess what? After the release of all the news, things being nerfed (and we DIDN'T play as deadeye), most of our builds will become impossible, and we DON'T one shot bosses. Also the crafting, going back to becoming very RNG again... We are leaving the game again. Many people will just say "bye, you are going late" that kind of stuff... We actually don't really care for those comments... but we did feel not appreciated. The general sensation was that, once again, only players with a huge base knowledge of the game series will be able to experience the whole content of the game. I mean everything that the game can through at you. Those kinds of people that has 10k hours in the POE series. How many people do you have like that? 1000? 5000? We will never know, however, I have 1k hour base experience just in POE 2.AGAIN, I didn't play 0.2 and just arrived during 0.3.1. During 0.3.1 We liked what we saw, and we could see and feel that returning to the game was enjoyable, fun and we have our moments. But 0.4 changes are a fun breaker for me and my friends. Hope the game evolves to something that also appreciate not exactly causal, but not people that play the game professionally to sell currency on the internet. Maybe we will see you all around in 0.5. Please, take a better care of the game we learn to love. |

This logic is not working...
"Bosses now have an Anti-Burst damage mechanic" - implemented a bad idea "Bosses which cannot or barely move have a shorter damage reduction period" - tried to fix a massive hidden Chronomancer's Time Stop nerf When failed, tried to soften this Nerf with the slight buff "Choir of the Storm's Lightning Bolt skill now has 5 Cooldown uses (previously 1).", assuming "Now and Again - Provides 33% chance to not consume a cooldown when using an ability." Forgetting that Choir is bad even with Temporalis, and a slight 33% more damage is nothing when base damage is 0. What they should've done is to make Lightning Bolt generate 5 Seals, rather than cooldown uses, and let seals depend from the current, rather than base cooldown for Chronomancer, or at least allow Now and Again to work on seals. That would be a fair trade |

Several changes that are missing and could still be added to improve 0.4 and specifically some Druid and elemental builds:
- Firestorm (both base and infused) needs damage buffs. Currently its effect is underwhelming for all the investment it takes and even if you added possibility to move it on battlefield with support gem that issue remains. - There is current lack of synergy between 2 elemental casters - Sorceress and Druid (when their spells would likely be tried to be combined in 0.4 for Druid / Sorceress caster builds). Sorceress Infusions seemingly don't apply to Druid spells (those that were datamined / shown in preview), so infusion based scaling would mean only partial scaling for the build and Druid's Spell Totem is badly usable by Sorceress that has no inherent ways to generate neither Endurance nor Power Charges. While there is still time before 0.4 - please add more synergies between these trees. In later patches - consider just replacing Elemental Infusion system with Power Charges as mean to enable and use empowered effects for spells which is much more simple system to use and balance and much more synergizing with rest of the classes. - There is also lack of item support for hybrid attack / spell builds in the game. Even if Druid would get nodes in passive tree that buff both attack and spell damage most items currently have too specialized mods (spell damage or attack damage or cast speed or attack speed or X damage added to attacks and likewise) that would scale only part of such build. To address that - consider adding more generic modifiers to items (like elemental damage / skill speed and likewise) and if needed such generic modifiers could have a bit lower value than specialized ones to compensate for versatility. There should be also more hybrid build scaling items like Crown of Eyes and Crown of Eyes is currently undertuned / underwhelming (bad mods, does not affect attack and cast speed etc) and could be also looked at and buffed. |
