Online status on trade is stuck in 'Fetching' mode
|
I cannot change my status from online both in league and standard because I'm permanently stuck in fetching mode. It never changes no matter how long I wait. Any ideas on how to fix this?

You should be able to load the list now.
Showing your global status has been removed. The only options now are showing your status in your league and appearing offline. ✮

" So it's not possible to show yourself as online in Standard while playing league anymore? I always play leagues, but I also have a lot of items in Standard outside of my merchant tabs that I wish to sell and have no issues switching characters to make those sales happen. If I can't show myself as online in Standard while playing league those sales are never going to happen. I imagine a lot of people are going to be in the same position. Please reconsider this change. |

Feedback was overwhelmingly that people would opt-in using the option but then not be willing to swap leagues.

" Everyone should be opt-out by default and required to manually switch to be globally online if they so desire. This new system creates a few problems. For example, merchant tabs are not able to sustain mirror services. Anyone playing in league will have their Standard mirror service items automatically listed as offline unless they pass them along to someone else who plays Standard, or be forced to use a secondary account to be online in Standard (which would require... new premium tabs). I understand that other people may not be willing to switch to Standard to trade certain low value items, but merchant tabs already fixes that for the most part. Buyers have more options now. I already paid for premium and quad tabs that are not eligible to be converted to merchant tabs and now they will become automatically useless whenever I'm not playing Standard since everything will show offline. I couldn't possibly place everything I have listed for sale in Standard into merchant tabs. Additionally this also creates a problem for currency trading. Faustus is limited to 10 slots, so if I have a lot of different currency to sell in Standard I cannot shove it all into Faustus. I list my things manually and sell when prompted, switching leagues when needed. Now if I'm playing league all my exchange listings will show as offline and I do not have enough slots on Faustus to sell everything I have listed for sale (think bulk selling currency, scarabs, fragments, etc.), nor do I have the gold in Standard to move so much stuff since I'm actively playing the league and not farming gold in Standard. I'm not talking small chaos trades here, it's hundreds of bulk listings for many divines that now stay offline when I'm in league with this new change. It hurts me as a seller and it hurts market liquidity as well. I don't think this is a positive change. Last edited by GNeiva#4113 on Nov 30, 2025, 9:01:57 PM

"That was already how it was, and it was already causing problems. ✮

" Another change that is irrelevant for league-only players and bad for standard & league players. There are so many reasons I want to be online in both leagues. Please make this an option again. Thanks! edit: maybe there is a smarter solution - it shows both statuses if you have been logged into a league & standard char in the last 24h? Costs a variable, but certainly works for most people actually willing to play both & log for trades. Last edited by Jix#7520 on Nov 30, 2025, 11:13:54 PM

" Causing problems to whom? To players who would try to buy an item and not get a reply? Merchant tabs and async trade is the fix, that's the whole point. This change doesn't solve anything, it only shifts the problem (which stopped being a problem with the introduction of async trade) to a different section of players. I don't think you realize how damaging this is to people who primarily play league but still care for their Standard stash, which happens to be my case. All my listings other than merchant tabs and Faustus became useless overnight. |

While merchant tabs have the potential to solve the problem of people who'd kinda like to sell stuff on standard for 'what if' use; but who can't actually be bothered to actually switch leagues and do them I suspect a lot of them - even if they have enough merchant tabs for their collection of standard junk can't be bothered to move and reprice everything from their existing dump tabs.
If my assumption from when you first posted that this was a mid-league change not something done when 3.27 was first deployed; then I'd also assume that GGG made it because they saw people setting traditional trade tabs online but not switching to trade was an overwhelmingly common occurrence than people switching leagues to trade or do mirror services. Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? |

" who exactly gave that feedback? I spoke to about 20+ standard players by now... no one knew this was changed and everyone hates it. Please revert this change or give us options to opt in being visible in both leagues it hurts my soul you are abandoning standard once again. |
