Or the so called "streamer effect". When I first played a 100% Phys taken as Fire Champion with Cloak of Flame + Arctic Armour + Immortal Call and stuff, the PoF Sublime Vision was only around ~5d or so.
PoF Sublime Vision was never 5D. It's always been a chase item.
When I was playing Diablo 3, I was fully leveled up in just a few minutes and given a full set of items, simply because I asked. From the first minutes of Diablo 3, I was already playing with other players; that was REAL online. Can you imagine even one person in PoE who would do this without benefit? It would be like a mirror falling out
Why would they do something? So many top POE streamers RMT openly on twitch saying "It was a landmine guys" without getting banned, they aren't banning bot traders anytime soon.

It was around the time it came out. I bought one, though it must have been 5ex (so, yeah, technically you are correct). And the very same day, literally a couple hours after I bought mine, a streamer or YouTuber published a video and it completely blew up.

Here's a reddit thread that I found from back then that basically confirms the price:

"
So I gave it another go about a week ago (when Sublime Visions was 1ex) and it worked WAY better then I expected.

And their PoB literally has PoF Sublime Vision in it: https://pobb.in/CwCxDNSkM51B

A roll that would cost a shit ton more today.

This item was introduced with Sentinel League, and you only started playing with Affliction, which came out quite a bit later, no? This build has been a known one ever since the item released, not something that suddenly became a “niche” with Affliction’s arrival.

No. I've been playing this game since April 2013.

Are you sure about that? Your profile suggests otherwise… January 2024 and April 2013 are quite far apart. No shame in being a newer player, but it’s a bit optimistic to use this topic to advertise a build or try to take credit for something that existed long before, credit really belongs to the players who actually figured it out, made proper showcases or build guides highlighting a true powerhouse at work, rather than claiming it mid‑league years later.

After all, this topic is about the bot issue with the new trade system, not about builds we wish we’d discovered. To get back on topic, it was pretty clear what would happen if GGG opened the gates for bots even further. At least the older system prevented it a bit, but now it’s basically free roaming for them. Honestly, the game would be in a much better state if it were like D3 or LE, fully designed around acquiring items yourself, with trading just as an optional feature. LE’s CoF and MG systems have proven that a common playground can exist without unbalancing either mode. Giving bots no playing ground would go a long way.
