Fortress pulse-explosion
" But.. your build does suck? So yes, we can “Freedom is what we do with what is done to us.”

" My current build in Ruthless has 3.8k maximum life and I haven't died once in a Fortress, not even when my chaos resistance was scuffed or when the map had -maximum resistances. If the unfortunate RNG happens and you get offed by some truly unavoidable explosion, I'd be sympathetic to your frustration, but Fortress pulses are the most telegraphed mechanic there is. You can anticipate when it happens, how much damage it will deal, and you can prepare accordingly. The damage is spread around all damage types. If your build dies from that it's your build's fault not the game's. Considering you play SC trade and it's not week 1 anymore you'd think you would have that down by now The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge. " Prepare how? By spamming my life flask? There's nothing telegraphed about it. It is literally unavoidable damage, its bad design. And it should not be affected by map mods, yet it is. If it was static damage I'd never die to it. But it varies, so I died like once to it lmfao My build's great, I can farm ubers and anything I want. And I will keep playing it every league, because deleting bosses in 1 second and trivializing any and all mechanics by skipping them is the most fun gameplay ever. I love being OP while the enemies stand no chance of doing anything. Last edited by Toforto#2372 on Dec 17, 2025, 3:35:40 PM

" I dunno, you're the guy playing a build with 6-7k physical/chaos max hit (13k eHP) getting rekt by an easy league mechanic. The pulse is telegraphed as in you know exactly when it will hit you next. And it's not unavoidable. You can literally block it and take 0 damage. :D It's possible to trivialize content without dying to easy league mechanics. Fortress is free money lmao. " Except I have literally only died to it once because a map mod increased its damage. Which should not be happening. My build is perfectly fine in t16 alch&go. |

So, you only died once to it but somehow it's so big an issue to you that you claim it's "bad design" without explaining why. You also don't explain why it shouldn't be affected by map mods, while literally everything else in maps is being affected by it. Your claim that it's unavoidable has been debunked.
Can we expect anything substantive or is that it? The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

" No. Your build isn’t great. It barely handles the basics, and everything else beyond that falls apart. " " Can you, though, or are we just pretending? You bought Uber carries this league, along with plenty of other carries, just like every league before. If you keep playing the same build over and over again each league, you would think someone would take the time to revisit the fundamental flaws that tripped them up last league and the ones before that and actually invest the effort to refine the build. Instead, even when other players keep pointing out the flaws, they are dismissed or ignored, all in the belief that the build is great while gameplay itself appears to be a rollercoaster of frustration caused by death after death. It is fine to play a single build repeatedly, but if no meaningful improvement is made in areas that desperately need it, it becomes hard to understand why it would be called a great build. Sure, the build might be decent for boss rushing, though it is not even the optimal choice for that and only if you truly go all in to pursue that goal. Lacking significant damage does nothing to fix the core issue, a glass cannon with almost no defense. The bigger picture is clear. You are playing a boss killer with no defensive capabilities, getting punished in all sorts of ways, and complaining while still insisting your build is great. The reality is that your build is not even optimized for bossing, which is obvious from the fact that you buy Uber carries. The lack of defense also makes even simple content like alc&go a struggle. The same fundamental flaw, fragility, keeps showing up every league. That is why, despite repeated play, it is not your build that trivializes content, it is your build that gets trivialized by even the most basic things. " Substantive? It’s bad and that is an objective fact. The risk of dying to this bad mechanic was calculated, but nobody ever said I’m good at math. " Careful, if you don't add /s someone might think you are not being sarcastic there. :P The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

" I can do all ubers except elder cus the spells in that fight suck and I can't dodge em. I can do them whenever I want. I buy carries because I'm lazy and its faster and easier to buy a 1 div carry than to buy the boss invite and do it myself. I will always do the fastest and easiest thing lol |
