Depends what you mean by 100% deterministic, because let me tell you - it still wouldn't be accessible to average joes.

If you want to see what happens to player retention in games of this type if they frontload character power, all you need to do is take a look at LE, or D4.

I doubt poe will ever target truly casual players, it's simply not how they design, or monetize their games.

Perfect, or beyond perfect. It'd still need to gather the materials, of course - which is well whatever. Most people would not afford the materials.

I dont quite get the "dopamine", perhaps lacking the immersion, or the gambling addition.
