Major Endgame Changes in Patch 0.3.1 for Path of Exile 2
I was honestly looking to stop playing until 0.4 as I was getting a bit burned out by tower hunting. I’m so excited after this announcement that I’m gonna log back on instantly!!

Honestly an L. The loss of the towers mechanic makes the game feel less its own thing and more like a worse version of POE 1 maps. Now it seems like it will be harder to mix content and farm multiple things together as effectively. It would have been much smarter to have us either earn a currency by clearing maps (or just use gold) to build towers wherever we want. There could even be stipulations of how close they could be placed together to limit the amount of juicing that any 1 map could receive. I honestly dread this update, and dread going back to the tediousness of having to continuously put items into my map device every single time i run a map. The towers system is a far better system that's only real issue could be 100% fixed by giving the player agency over where towers are placed.

" Just so you know if they do that those items will just be worth less and you will complain about not getting the even rarer items instead, then if they drop those nothing will be worth anything and you'll have nothing to save for, then complain when the league is over in 2days, like Diablo 3. |

Ok so lower tier maps have less mobs. so basically the grind that was just lessened is now back. that is unless the XP from the mobs in lower tiers is increased. or is it not going to increase now because of random added content???
i wonder if the layouts of ritual in narrow maps like slick and crypt will be fixed? In particular where sometimes the ritual is off-center and half of the spawning area is off the map. i hate having this little itty bitty area to try to kill in or avoid rat tornados or clouds or whatever. the rat tornados are pointless imo. most of the time i skip ritual anyways as its boring AF. I would be completely happy if Delve made a return. I would love to see it incorporated into the end game in some way. i would sit at my PC for like 14 hrs a day and just do delve. |

Why in the world wouldn't they at least let us use the towers to use unique tablets (plural, not just one)? Unique tablets suck unless they are The Grand Project. I sell the rest or junk them, don't even care.
I liked the towers, gave me something to set up in the atlas, I could load up item quantity on every tower and have pockets of 60-70% quantity on single map nodes to run through. With atlas tree mods that usually came out to 80-100% quant with a 1/5 chance of all tower bonuses being doubled... Honestly, I think these changes suck. You should have allowed us to use tablets on towers AND on maps. The people who don't like towers aren't going to be around long in the endgame anyway, they're gonna level their two or three favorite characters and fuck off to something else. PoE 1 players bastardized their favorite game and now they're bringing their toxic expectations to this installment of the franchise. COME ON, GGG! I don't want to quit this game before it gets to 1.0... |

Is it still necessary for a map to exist without the meaning of exploration? Delete it, Disappointing

as others have stated, please foresee the issue of manually applying tablets to each map and change this before the patch.
Suggestion: have a tablet UI on the atlas screen with the tablets you want enabled every map. If you don't have a 6 mod map then it will use the first two. Players will still need to insert a new tablet once it runs out of charges. can anyone think of any downsides? |
