Crafting is too strong and anti-fun. The best way to acquire gear should be to find it.

Crafing is to expansive for Casuals and anyone should have the same possibility.
The problem is this game promised to adres PoE1 loot issues but didn't follow through. Players have still been dependent on a loot filter starting from about day 3 of the game being out.

Tier 15 maps should not be dropping 3-4 level 50 magic items without a tier per rare.

Tiered items shouldn't even be a thing, from the a moment a base is high item level certain mod tiers should be automatically culled. And there should be about 80% less drops.
totally disagree.

To have very powerful items crafted you have to posses a strong economic base to even try. You have a lot of rng involved, so no, this is no powercrafting.

I agree btw on the fact that would be good to find good stuff on the ground.

But to powercraft you need to do one thing and one thing only: buy currency online. Or a lot, a lot of luck on your crafting.
Hard disagree.
I think crafting is in a very good place right now, I would say this is one of the highlight of the current patch actually.
Yes crafting can make some really amazing items if you understand the process and more importantly can afford all the items required. You know to block this so that you can get that and to "fix" the oopsies etc

So I don't have an issue if you can craft slightly stronger pieces. However, you should be able to get drops that are useful or might actually sell on market. As it is still the only point of most items that drop is to decorate the landscape when you run by. Along with currencies I have thousands of... serve no purpose by the time I'm mapping and can't be upgraded.

This simply isn't true this league. You can deterministically craft 6/6affix with 0 rng best in slot boots, gloves, amulets, and more. These once unicorn type items that rarely existed are now extremely common place. Something that would have gone for multiple mirrors can now be crafted with 30div.

And for items that can't be crafted 100% deterministically, it's still extremely trivial and cheap to craft an incredibly strong bow for example.

Even if you don't want to put in any effort at all, it's STILL hands down absolutely better use of your time to just pick up white bases and slam greater/perfect orbs on it knowing you will be rolling high tier mods.

No matter how you break it down, finding good items is basically dead right now.

It literally is deterministic LOL
You're just bad if you think it's not.
People are making 6 desired mod items, there are 1000s of videos around them.

I agree with OP, I LOVE the Abyss addition and that crafting, but the rest has killed a lot of the fun. The game is heavily dominated by hideout warriors. I really lack incentive to map when I can make 100 div easily sitting in menus crafting for a few hours but it gets kind of boring.

I think maybe trading should have some sort of limit, as in like Last Epoch where you have to 'map' and earn a type of exp and use that to be able to trade.

I don't think crafting should be nerfed, the concept of giving players something and taking it away never goes well (even though maybe it should be), but mapping and 'playing the game' needs to be balanced better to compete with just sitting crafting.

An exp system to earn to trade will at least keep crafting in line and make it more affordable for everyone to get into since it will keep profit crafting somewhat in check.

Crafters can still profit, but the casual players will be able to earn enough to get into it better and make their own gear.

In my opinion all they need to do to balance this out is allow for high ilvl rares to occasionally drop with t0 affixes which can't be crafted.

Totally agree. That way drops WILL MATTER

Just pick some good blue item, essence it to rare, and then apply suffix/prefix omen for desecration mods and then perfect essence it.

You can afford that process playing in a casual basis even in SSF.

I had beaten the game with my 150%inc chaos damage +5 to all spells staff, which i crafted with this method.
