Dominus's Abilities Speculations

When Dominus gets hit he drops an item. This will continue until the player accidentally or purposefully clicks on an item. Dominus will gain a frenzy charge every time he is hit. When player clicks on an item Dominus leaves and goes to hide out in act 4.

I think this would be an awesome fight :-)

You made me chuckle.
Hopefully something sadistic like aoe puncture combined with venerability on hit.

Field of desync --

The boss litters the ground with indestructible widgets to block and restrict player movement, maximizing the potential for desync.

Kill on damage taken

The boss casts a buff on himself that will automatically kill any player that damages him during the buff effect. It should cast instantly and unpredictably.

And in his right hand he wields the Lag Spike, which is like Maligaro's Spike only better - on attack it releases dozens of mobs, each one with its own graphics.

can switch modes: grounded and levitating mode. dominus has whispers of doom

grounded mode - tends to activate when he doesn't have charges
  • frenzy (his attacks have lightning damage)
  • black ice alternate art ice spear, supported with power charge on critical
  • custom enduring cry with dominus voice taunt
  • flame trap

levitating mode - tends to activate when he has multiple charges
  • immune to melee attacks
  • discharge
  • turn-to-stone alternate art freeze mine
  • enfeeble
  • temporal chains
  • heartless angel: unavoidable, removes all energy shield and sets life to 1, usable only when dominus has less than 25% life remaining

unlike players, whenever dominus gains a charge, a minion (tanky fire melee for endurance, fast cold melee for frenzy, lightning archer ranged) is created. killing this minion dispels the charge. when dominus activates discharge, all his minions explode as if they had minion instability (they do not do explosion damage if killed normally)

The chance to Vaal +1% maximum resists on an amulet is less than 1/300.

lol :D

You loose control for 5 sec, while Dominus tries to navigate your char into a lava pit.

btw, not entirely offtopic:
Dominus is the final boss of Act 3? But there will be also an act 4, someday, or...??

This. :D

Seriously though, I hope he is brutal beyond belief, with good challenging mechanics.
