Is anyone here in the Marvel Heroes Closed beta?...
this game is sooo drooling with dopeness... lvl 14 atm and this game is much much better then Neverwinter and MUCH less pay to win then it... actually I don't see any reason for it being pay to win since almost anything can be found as loot... man neverwinter loot reminded me way too much WoW horrible stats system, marvels heroes loot is more of like Diablo style loot...

It's tons of fun. I never had fun just killing stuff in POE. That's a first for an ARPG for me.
They are having serious disconnect issues right now vausing short rollbacks. Once they fix that I''' be happy. I'm level 16 on one of the free starter heroes (Scarlet Witch). I have major concerns regarding their cash shop. Costumes cost way too much. Paying for a reasonable stash size is annoying. They also stated that most hero drops will be for the one your playing (boosts your ultimate power). I think they seriously nerfed their hero drop rates from Open Beta, but that's impossible to verify. With that being said I can have a lot of fun without paying a dime. It certainly has more enjoyable gameplay than POE and more longevity than TL2. It also has a great asset in Brevik and their proposed endgame may be more fun than POE maps. For me, the droprate for heroes/skins needs to atleast be somewhat reasonable. I found 5 heroes leveling Hulk to 30 in OB. I don't expect that rate, but a hero or two would be nice. They at least give you a second starter hero as a quest reward but it's random. POE really doesn't want more competition but with MH and Grim Dawn on the way, as well as Lineage Eternal and potential D3 improvements. I think it's too late to save POE without a massive influx of cash and improvements to gameplay and art. Last edited by FrodoFraggins#7603 on May 19, 2013, 2:43:22 AM

One look at Founders Pack and what I see? XP boost and item finding boosts... Too bad it will be pay to win. But maybe numbers will be really low on this who know.
They are under some Chinese/Korean company too? |

Yeah, Din, I was thinking about the P2W aspect here. I know video games and comics have an overlapping target audience, mainly young males, low to average income. I also note that it may appear to be farly easy and fast to reach their level cap, 60?, then access their end-game, whatever it is. Looking at their skill tree for say, Deadpool? looks quite simple, but with 60+ to potentially hundreds of characters, Gameplay mechanics is going to be unsurprisingly shallow and simple to target their casual market bracket.
Addit: wouldn't be surprised if there's the unseen hand of Disney simplifying the game down tremendously, broadening the playerbase as much as possible. I can envision whole families playing Marvel Heroes, can you think of the same for POE? There you go. POE is a constantly evolving game, so expect balance changes, buffs and nerfs STILL!
