Orb of Scoured Chance

New orb to solve some annoyances, save people's time ... and wrists

Vendor recipe:
1 orb of chance + 1 orb of scouring = 1 orb of scoured chance
works in bulk: 200 chance + 200 scour = 200 scoured chance orbs

Using it equals does the same as one using both orbs separately:
- removes modifiers, if can (ie. same as orb of scouring)
- then randomises rarity (ie. same as orb of chance)

Two actions/orbs in a single orb

Problem solved, no big changes in economy or mechanic,
and should be fairly easy to add

+1. Should have been done the moment they decided the rates for chance orbs were in the thousands for even common uniques....

Even less reason to go through that unbelievable pain now that we have two additional forms of gambling available to us: gwennen and faustus. It needs to be more attractive

They already added the bench craft that does, like, exactly this though?

Then you also need "orb of scoured alchemy" :D
because in many cases it is same as chaos orbs, but costs less, with the price for inconvenience. Personally i use ahk for such tasks, to save my wrists, but having such things in game will be good ofc.

only work with items you can place in the bench

chaos orbs reroll rare, this one rerolls into magic and unique too (which I imagine is more about rerolling for uniques)

But.....you wouldn't be doing scour chance on those lol, they are irrelevant. The only items that are scour-chanceable (gear) can be put in the bench.

The alch/scour that felix was talking about is likely for rolling maps, which you only go from white to rare on and you aren't chancing. Nothing to do with chance re-rolling or the rarity values obtained through chance orbs.

I said "items". Trying to reroll vaal areas is a very very VERY special, niche usage. But yes, those maybe should have their own totally separate currency, which drops from the vaal vessels.

When you said "vaal portal", I did assume you meant the gem. I don't think anyone refers to vaal areas like that. And that would be the only singular usage outside of the bench, there isn't any "other stuff" involved.

But true....I did not think about vaal areas.
