i crafted the hell out of wands in closed beta
and let me tell you, to craft a epic wand whether a phyiscal or spell wand is one of the hardest things you can do in the whole game (same is true for dagger staffs and maces)
you would be better off buying a lottery ticket and win the jackpot,
your chances are way greater there ;)
but it can be done with just eonught afford and belief put into it
you got to work the magic and never give up
yet there will never be a guarantee of success ...

some player sometimes wonder why some wands are bought for 25+ exalts
well that's why because it needs more then 25 exalts to craft it if rng is not on your side

i learned my lessen so i cheated rng with a mirror in the end :/

maybe coz the maces you linked are realy good but not the top end
they can get way higher states
like this one for example has higher spell damage:

i'm no expert on one handed maces but i guess they can roll up to 100ish spell dmg
100ish crit chance and like 22%% cast speed amoung other usefull mods ;)

crafting the one of a kind epic weapon is an honorable goal!

And? His point is that you can still buy the one of a kind epic weapon for cheaper and faster than crafting it, and the monsters won't know how much honor was gained/lost in acquiring it when you hit them with it. Crafting is for stupids.

So all of the sudden today that term just started to bother me so I will say it yet again.
Stop calling it CRAFTING, there IS NO CRAFTING system in this game, if you are unclear on the concept please look up the word. This game has a gambling problem that in no way qualifies as a crafting system. Still, it's what I blow my currency on... no reason to change it. It's better than dealing with the chiseling fishwives in trade chat no?

the spell dmg% along is not worth anything. I usually just vendor wands/sceptres like yours because they just dont sell...

you need spell dmg% + spell crit% + cast speed to be epic. Lacking any of these 3 stats means vendor trash or a mere couple of gcps.

That's why crafting wand/sceptre is so hard...

Sceptre and wands are the same, it all depends on stats on the weapon.

Sceptres are usually cheaper because most spell users thing wands are the only thing they can use.

also: wants ARE better because the odds of rolling their stats are higher and the base damage is better. 10% elemental damage is inferiour to 20% more spell damage cause both adds up to the same pool.

doesnt apply to "found items" but for sure to crafting

also2: spelldamage increases traps (BEARTRAP HUEHUEHUE) ele damage only increases its added fire damage part
