Latency Spikes
I was playing fine previously. But this league, I can barely move, my latency is always at >10000ms and it only happens in certain areas.
Anyone know how to fix this? |------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | WinMTR statistics | | Host - % | Sent | Recv | Best | Avrg | Wrst | Last | |------------------------------------------------|------|------|------|------|------|------| | 192.168.4.1 - 0 | 158 | 158 | 0 | 0 | 15 | 0 | | c-148-59-59-1.rev.sailx.co - 0 | 158 | 158 | 6 | 23 | 145 | 16 | | core-sv7-rtr1.sailx.co - 0 | 158 | 158 | 6 | 24 | 97 | 13 | | 100.68.13.1 - 0 | 158 | 158 | 8 | 24 | 106 | 14 | | 100.68.13.11 - 0 | 158 | 158 | 9 | 24 | 123 | 12 | | t0-0-0-p116.bgp-sv7-rtr1.sailx.co - 0 | 158 | 158 | 9 | 24 | 137 | 13 | | c-147-92-88-236.rev.sailx.co - 0 | 158 | 158 | 9 | 24 | 149 | 18 | |hu0-6-0-0.201.rcr21.b001848-1.sjc01.atlas.cogentco.com - 0 | 158 | 158 | 9 | 26 | 148 | 13 | | be3529.ccr22.sjc01.atlas.cogentco.com - 0 | 158 | 158 | 9 | 27 | 148 | 14 | | be3144.ccr41.sjc03.atlas.cogentco.com - 0 | 158 | 158 | 9 | 26 | 102 | 13 | | be6009.ccr81.sjc13.atlas.cogentco.com - 3 | 147 | 144 | 10 | 29 | 141 | 75 | |be8167.rcr51.b034314-0.sjc13.atlas.cogentco.com - 0 | 158 | 158 | 10 | 27 | 149 | 20 | | 38.104.134.43 - 34 | 69 | 46 | 14 | 27 | 106 | 15 | | 172.240.66.135 - 28 | 76 | 55 | 0 | 29 | 92 | 83 | | 172.240.69.63 - 25 | 80 | 60 | 12 | 28 | 105 | 73 | |________________________________________________|______|______|______|______|______|______| WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider Last bumped on Jun 18, 2025, 7:40:29 AM

Please post the log of a WinMTR test that's run for ~3 times as long as that one.
Today… by divine decree… your patch of Excel, begins.

" The issue appears to be one of packet loss. From what I can gather, this IP address is currently assigned to Cogent Communications. As it's the third-last hop, your best chance if at all possible is trying a different gateway as it's vanishing unlikely this router would also lie between you and that one. Failing that, you could try using a VPN - but I wouldn't be confident, given the router's proximity to the server you're playing on. Today… by divine decree… your patch of Excel, begins.

" You are correct! VPN isn't helpful here I tried. Is this something my ISP can fix? you have any other recommendation? |

" I dunno. Who is your ISP? As I've said, it appears to be Cogent's infrastructure at fault. " How big of a difference in latency is there between your usual gateway and the next closest one? Typically mildly high - but consistent - latency is preferable to spikes. Today… by divine decree… your patch of Excel, begins.

Same issue. Good luck getting any help w/ this, its been going on for 8+ months across both games. Probably a capacity issue w/ GGGs service hosting, which always shows packet loss on the final hops, mostly during peak hours.

Same issue for me on Singapore servers, being redirected by Support here is just useless. I tried VPN (Mudfish), no fix. Other online games (Dota 2) are running fine on latency.

Same issue here, latency graph looks exactly the same. Latency spikes every second or so, going from 60 ms to 200-300 and back. Happens in some zones, doesnt happen in others.

Same issue. 1000/1000 fiber connection wired to PC. having around 11ms jumps to 600ms, down to 11ms up to 600ms etc. Tried different gateways.
