how will settlers not be a mandatory to do mechanic now
" Correct me if I heard wrong, but, aren't the workers in Kingsmarch going to be limited to level 5? If they are, all that dust is going to back up quite quickly. Level five farmers, miners, and smelters are going to be slow producers of trade goods, and anything over 50% dust is wasted in trade. ='[.]'= =^[.]^= basic (happy/amused) cheetahmoticon: Whiskers/eye/tear-streak/nose/tear-streak/eye/

With the power of not doing it, you can achieve the desired result of not doing it.

There are several mechanics that can create FOMO, like heist or Sanctum. But really if you lean into what you like and avoid what you don't, the game plays just fine.
I'm not a huge fan of heist and only go into the harbor when the challenges dictate it. I don't feel like I've missed out on anything even though I likely have. Thanks for all the fish! Last edited by Nubatron#4333 on Jun 9, 2025, 6:41:11 AM

YOu have to actively play heist whereas you jsut go to kingsmarch for 60 seconds inbetween mapping/doing whatever and send your stuff. You come back after 45 minutes and collect your shipment rewards, empty your mappers stash. It's two different worlds, one should not be a permanent part of poe.

I don't see how this is different then many other mechanics that offer unique rewards by doing them. You either do them for the rewards or you find some other way to farm currency and trade for it. It's just currency at the end of the day.
FOMO is all in the mind. |

" And I don't see how you can't see this. It's shocking. Baffling, even. If you could automate the crawler in Delve, send Divinia out 'sanctuming', or send your thieves out 'heisting' alone, you could compare the mechanics. But you can't do that, so you can't compare them. And when you can't compare them mechanically, you should absolutely see how they are different. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. They have adjusted the shipping speeds and apparently also the costs. It might be that the optimal strategy is to just send large shipments every few days or even once a week.
Mapping can be worse though. I wish we could have some "run these 12 maps and get all the rewards"-option. It all kind of comes down to the gold costs. If gambling has been returns, then you can kind of feel like force to use your gold on Kingsmarch. | |
If they didnt "fix" the 2 bars strat for shipping, its gonna be awfull.

YOU LOGIN...
You wake up on the beach, kill the zombie and pass the first boulder... A familiar voice speaks, "I'd consider that a WIN, Exile!" Unable to distinguish from which direction the voice was heard, you carry on and kill Hillock. Upon entering town, you're black-bagged and pulled into Kingsmarch where you're put to work in the fields until crops are ready to be sent to Ribenfell. This is your new reality. There is no escape from Kingsmarch. You will farm forever. *maniacal evil laughter* Last edited by Beavith#5056 on Jun 9, 2025, 10:27:59 AM
