Please, rework ALL uniques
I mean, rn, 99.99% of all uniques have 1 great special ability, while the rest on the item is NONE existant.

Uniques should have at least 8 modifiers plus 2 special (10 in result). Otherwise is just a common (rare) item that have one special ability.
Wearing a unique item shouldn't only meet the needs of a build but also them that are in category of defence and Mana, Life, damage, and others related with them. |

Current model is COPY pasta from POE1, aka 15 yrs old model, that NEVER worked.

" No it's not. POE1 Brassdome > POE2 Brassdome... POE1 HH > POE2 HH... and on and on... They literally fucking gimped and mangled everything to the point where everything is just bad, or, if it has any good on it at all, well, it gets heavily slammed with some horseshit downside that outweighs the benefit completely. Or, in the rare case it really doesnt have a downside, such as HH, they still gimped it to shit, because the HH in POE1 has a 1 minute duration, in a fast paced game... and here, they gave it 20 seconds, and everything is slower then molasses runnin up hill on a cold winters day. On topic, I think they massively missed the mark with uniques in PoE2. Sure in PoE 90% of uniques are unusuable, but those remaining 10% are awesome and still much more than most games do have. PoE2 however it feels like a hand full of uniques are usuable and everything else is just like JoannaDark described. With Hrishi leaving, I doubt it will get better soon aswell, unfortunately. Some have really cool unique affixes on them, but then they are for example a lvl 19 Chest piece, that u just can't afford to use in endgame. It's pretty disappointing. |

seeing a unique drop in POE2 is not exciting. in fact, you can probably just leave it on the ground and not bother with it.

The whole design philosophy to Uniques in POE2 really doesn't make me excited to see any Unique drop.
The problem is that the vast majority of the Uniques I've seen are either easily outclassed by good Rares, or, for those that have a special ability not available elsewhere, the rest of the affixes are mostly garbage. This stems from the design philosophy of every upside must be weighed down by a downside, and the bigger the upside, the bigger the downside. And this one design philosophy single-handedly diminishes most of the excitement from getting Uniques. On top of that, GGG doesn't want any Uniques to be powerful. The complete castration of the Everlasting Gaze shows their balance philosophy: if something is powerful, they nerf it into oblivion such that nobody ever even considers using it anymore. You can't be powerful. You can't get good loot. This is the kind of game GGG wants to design and the kind of game that is being considered "fun" by GGG. " Unique items are rarely to be used for no reason. The purpose of unique items is NOT to be OP, or to give stats -- the goal is to create builds WITH the item piece (like Howa). If they put useful stats on it, they will remove the modifiers that make unique items even function at all. The problem is they've mostly released the junk uniques that don't have any build changing traits, just basic stats for getting through the campaign (AKA, not even a unique item) |

Here’s the link for reference: https://pathofexile2.wiki.fextralife.com/Unique+Equipment Now go ahead — name at least 10 uniques (excluding the few that are actually usable like Howa, Headhunter, Astramentis, Forked Spear, Dream Fragments, Three Dragons) that are truly useful and not just “for no reason.” Let’s not kid ourselves — around 90% of POE2 uniques are completely unusable garbage or, at best, something you wear for 10 minutes in the campaign before dropping it on the ground. And please, don’t fall back on the classic excuse: “People just haven’t found the right build yet.” I’ve tested most of them. The core mechanics of the game simply don’t allow half these uniques to function in any meaningful way. They’re so bad, even magic items often provide more value. Most of them I’ve added straight to my loot filter just to avoid the visual clutter. POE 2 is the first game for me where “orange” almost always means trash.
