" I am sure some will but I did not in the last big "update". Just went over the changes and saw more of the same, GGG did not listen nor care. Its not a question of understanding or learning. Its developers intentional forced hyper meta is disgusting. I will take a glance again in 3.0 (or whatever) but I am pretty sure its going to just be more of the same. |

In 2018, Tencent initially acquired a majority stake, holding 86.67% of GGG's shares. The remaining 13.3% was held by three of the company's co-founders. However, in March 2024, the co-founders sold their remaining shares to Tencent, making the company the sole owner. This means Tencent now fully owns Grinding Gear Games.
Replies are correct, GGG now have stability which is a good thing, but Jonathan is still thinking like an owner. The game will change to what the players want and makes the most money in the future. Initially it was thought that GGG only sold a portion to enter the Chinese market, since certain companies need todo this. WRONG POE 2 is a great game but the vision meme is dead, sooner or later Jonathan will realise he has enough money to retire like Chris, and his vision will push him to start a new company with a new game, just call the game Vision Jonathan it will be hilarious. Most of us will continue to play, it just looks soo good and the movement is perfect. I play all the other ARPG's but POE 2 is just so clean, hence the return and the itch to melt mobs. P.S
I am a Dog and i will just drop my load and leave on to the next post |

" The fact that you see feedback as inherently positive or negative is exactly the problem guy. Feedback is either constructive and progressive, in which case the developers can use it to make meaningful changes to the game, or it's destructive and regressive, in which case the developers will ignore it because it offers nothing of value that can actually be acted upon. I'll let you guess which category "fire Jonathan and start over" falls under. " Again, let me repeat: just because they aren't doing exactly what you personally want doesn't mean they aren't listening or that they don't care. The 0.2.0 update and subsequent patches have been FULL of changes that were taken directly from player feedback. They absolutely are 100% listening and actively implementing changes that are addressing concerns raised by players. Listening to you guys repeat this when anyone can go read the patch notes and see dozens and dozens of changes that are in direct response to player feedback is genuinely difficult. It's giving "my parents got me the wrong color iphone for christmas" vibes. |

" Sorry, I'm not here to feed the trolls. Have a nice day. |

" That's okay man. I'm not trolling and I ate already. I know you're hearing what I'm saying and I think you probably understand. I appreciate that labeling me a troll is an easy out that lets you maintain continuity of this narrative, but I do genuinely hope you find a way to come to terms with the reality of what's going on because you seem really passionate about this game and I think you could probably provide some actual feedback that would make the final product a better experience. The current player numbers are probably what GGG expected for EA in the first place. All of the people who tried the EA at launch and aren't playing right now are just potential future customers at 1.0. In truth, GGG probably prefers that they're not playing at the moment because they don't want the general public to see the game in its current state. The people they need right now are the ones who are comfortable playing an unfinished, unpolished, imbalanced, messy game -- they need QA. And yes, that's another way of saying they're asking us for free labor but it's voluntary so at any time you can join all those other people who quit playing for now and come back (if you want) at 1.0 to see what became of the game. The thing I really hope you don't do is keeping putting your eggs in this fantasy basket you guys have woven where the current player numbers lead to some kind of upheaval at GGG where Jonathan gets ousted and maybe they hire Ziz as their new game director so he can come in and make the game you guys are all collectively dreaming about -- it's just not going to happen and the more time you spend pretending the less time you're spending actively contributing to making the game better. Like guy just look at the patch notes -- GGG is listening to constructive, positive feedback and they're acting upon it. If you guys would let go of this absurd "lol the vision amirite" vendetta and start contributing rational, actionable feedback you could legitimately influence the shape of the final game. I know you're all angry and disaffected because you feel like GGG has abandoned you and gone back on their word (which in some regards is true no doubt), but it is what it is - you can adapt and adjust and come along for the journey or you can give up and go find another game to play. |

" almost like their media marketing team and hype engine got turned off after their huge payday? Surprise. |

" Half are bots. You are likely correct about them making 0.3.0 look more active than it is as they need to stir it up. |

" As a Chinese player (a non-RMT player, I really hate this kind of silly studio. Whether in China or abroad, seeing such people makes me feel sick), I want to know how you report problems abroad. I don't know if you know the rules of game operation in the Chinese market. I always feel that you have given GGG too much tolerance. Even if you are in the EA stage in the Chinese market (you should be in a stage where you are diligent in updating and communicating with players), what do you think Tencent would do if a problem like 0.2 occurred? For instance, when I was bored and played POE1 and the POE1 Chinese server, I found that at the request of Chinese players, the POE1 Chinese server even had a server specifically open for new players, including free equipment distribution. (Tencent's position in China is the same as EA's position abroad. We really dislike Tencent, but we don't deny that Tencent is really very fond of players.) What can pets pick up? In the international server, many players have raised this question, but GGG just doesn't want to change it. The current POE2 is such a problem. You guys are really too kind. Guys, don't forget that we paid for them to test it, but they don't want to listen to our opinions. But why do so many people still say this is EA, please give them time? So is it right to take a long vacation halfway through? In the Chinese market, how dare you apologize to players like this? This game will be ruined in less than a week. And GGG was fearless only after Tencent gave it full funds and autonomy. Do you understand? Tencent is completely uninvolved in the development project of POE2, which is equivalent to setting it off and providing them with sufficient funds. The Chinese server of POE2 is called POE Arrival (it has not been launched yet). I think no matter how much feedback is given on this forum, having such an arrogant producer is of no use at all. Let me make a comparison, like comparing Chris in the past to Jonathan now. Or how does the persistent person from the Last Age next door communicate with the players? POE2 is really fun in the end. I really like this framework of the new era. My friend and I both like it. But this is also the first time I've seen a game that learned a lot of lessons in 0.1, then broke down and gave up updates when it was launched in 0.2, and continued to be stubborn. If you really want to restrict the studio, why not ask Tencent to help ban these cheats? Do you know how severely this kind of thing is restricted in China? Every day, they claim to reject RMT, but in the end, the game still relies on it. Moreover, they cut all the beneficial elements for players and the interesting BD. Although I really like Amazon's new skills, in the end, everyone tends to converge on Amazon's weapons and skills. Is this interesting? I hope the discussion won't end in arguments. I think everyone should step out of the forum more often or visit other servers. Even you can complain to Tencent about GGG's inaction. I feel that only in this way can the real problem be solved. Finally, I pay tribute to those engineers who are updating POE2. With such leaders, it must be really tiring. |

" Literally NOTHING you just said is even remotely true.. please stop trolling, it's not helpful when the overwhelmingly vast majority of players are seeking for the game to actually be successful. |
