What do you think? GGG happy whit that statistic?

If you look at this statistics:
https://steamdb.info/app/2694490/charts/

5 months ago there were 578,569 players (That was the top). Now around 45k.
The game loose 92% of total players.

The forum is active and giving constant feedback to GGG.
But they got sticked a concept what is not working. The fun part is gone.
Visible in the numbers.
It means less purchase, less profit and the whole project is in danger.

It can be a good game, but GGG must change and listen.

what is your thoughts?

42.000 is still better then 21.000 at the end of 0.1 patch,
so....

Also think when 0.3 hit, 250.000 will be back to check the game progress.
And I rly pray, it will be AT LEAST new class.

ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED!?

I wouldnt be so sure that even with more purchases made in game that the money is going to ggg to fund the game.

Tencent own 100% all profits go to them and ggg get a budget regardless of sales. They get salaries.

I wouldnt be surprised if 20% of all income from mtx this month in poe2 pay a Chinese salesman in tencent a bonus for landing a 30 mil deal on powdered milk with a Korean farmer.

This game is owned by a large corporation with many business ventures. All money spent on this game belongs to tencent to do with as they please.

Money spent does not mean its invested in this game.
Like all companies, Tencent exists because it wants to make a profit, so if there are no players, there are no purchases and no profits.
I think the whole project is in danger because of that.
Yes very true
They’ve said player engagement across all platforms—not just in-game—offers better insight into the game’s health than attrition stats alone.
FWIW, engagement does feel way down since the first patch—less activity, less hype, quieter overall.
That said, I’ve been balls deep in Soulslikes getting ready for Nightreign, so I prob won’t be back till after summer.

The forum is definitely active, but the feedback has been a little less than constant because a lot of the threads are coming from people who seem to think GGG needs their help with data analysis or financial planning instead of just providing clear, constructive feedback about specific game mechanics.

GGG is clearly listening and responding to feedback. There's a long list of changes in every patch that are based directly on feedback they have received here and elsewhere on social media. Just because they're not listening to you doesn't mean they're not listening.

The project is not in trouble. They made an absolutely massive pile of cash with the initial launch - more than enough to fund the remainder of development and the marketing campaign they will use to bring people back for 1.0.

Genuinely guy - just play the game and post feedback about the mechanics; this "but the numbahs" narrative is gettin' real stale.
The feedback has been consistently negative, with the same handful of problems highlighted each time.

At this point it's not that they are unaware of the problems, the problem is the game director, the guy in charge of all the decisions, simply doesn't care about the players and actively dislikes PoE, the game that dragged this company out of the basement into the limelight.

A change in leadership is all that is required to get this franchise back on track and meeting the targets that were consistently hit back when the company had competent leadership.

LOL dude. That was 4 months into the league. We aren't even 2 months into 0.2

You think more than 20k people will still be playing 2 months from now?
OP, the game went viral, huge random people were playing it. The game was never going to get all 500k back, we all knew that. Most of us were guessing around 200k would leave/quit

bro i'd be shocked.. They are moving at a glacial pace, it feels like the game will not get 1.0 for several years.

They went from saying the game will include 12 classes and 36 ascendancies to "we may launch without all of them in the game"

They are moving their goalpost in a way that makes me FEEL like the game is 2-3 years off. Not 6-12 months as explained to us.

Then there's the fact that so much of the game is in an 'RNG fiesty' terrible state, that many people want things revamped already before release.

The atlas system in my honest opinion, is a complete failure. It literally is just a minigame of finding and setting up towers with bullshit in the way. That's not the fun part of the game, it's tedious nonsense meant to keep us from MEANINGFUL farming (to use a GGG phrase).

They want us to having "meaningful combat" then we would like "meaningful crafting", and "meaningful farming".
