Volatile plants visibility.

You say more cost effective but have repeatedly whined that its impossible to afford boots.

Which is it?

It's not impossible at all. I just have to play for a week or so until I have 60 div, and then I can afford to buy a pair of boots that *maybe* allow me to *not get oneshot by the homing balls of death that are everywhere*.

I say maybe because I don't know how much more I need to survive a single explosion. All my experience playing this game has always been instantaneous death from a single plant.

I think, just maybe, having 7 homing balls of instant death that you're not allowed to touch, and that move almost as fast as you are, in basically every activity you do, is not a game I want to play.

You refuse to craft your own, will only buy gear worth +60div and therefor wont even try to get defense for whats killing you? Okay, fine.

you can touch the purple balls, touching them is the best way to deal with them by setting them off early. The explosion is delayed enough you can walk through them and be fine.

You seem to be ignoring most of what I'm saying though so this will be my last response.

Have a wonderful day.

You can walk through them, except if something hits you while you do, you'll most likely get stunned. And if you get stunned for 0.5 seconds or so while walking through a plant, you just simply die.

And since I run fully modded and corrupted maps, that straight up deletes my map.

Also, like I said, I literally cannot get more than the 23 chaos res I have without:

A) spending BIG on equipment that matches what I have + chaos res.
B) droping below 75% elemental res.
C) losing 10% health, negating any benefit I might get from the chaos res.

I swear they made the explody balls bigger. That's one way to improve their visibility!
I can only repeat my feedback:

The last map I did had the ritual mechanic, and of course the rituals in that map had volatile plants as modifier.

So now I had to content with 7 instant death hazards during all of the 4 rituals... great.

Ritual leaves you a confined space, in maps with walls often *very* confined. It also spawns rares with modifiers. And in this case, it also kept reviving one of the delirium unique bosses (it can also revive exiles, and drop their uniques over and over btw).

So I'm in a super confined space, with tons of huge and dangerous monsters, and 7 instant death balls. And when I walk past one of those balls, there's a good chance that a group of monsters will spawn literally right in front of me, blocking my path.

I was 0.2 seconds reaction time rolling and disengaging away from those plants so much as the battlefield unexpectedly changed while I am being harassed from those literal instant death balls, while keeping dps up on bosses and avoiding their telegraphed attacks, my heart was jumping and I was yelling "fuck!" so much on every near death of which there were dozens.

There was some fun in that, and I cleared the map without death, but this is *not* the experience I want to have all the time. It's just not.

Chase the orbs, do not flee from them. Deciding when they go pop makes them much more manageable.

And unless chaos res is very low they shouldn't be 1 shotting characters. At 4.5k ES / 60% chaos res it takes 3 to kill my character.

Turning off the labels by hitting Z is very handy when getting swarmed.

The orbs are so bright now that no amount of enemies can obscure them.

Yeah, and you probably have like idk 2k health? Makes it an effective health pool of 5k hp and effective energy shield of 11k = total 16k effective health + shiled against it.
Now you are a warrior with 3k health and 60% Chaos res. Your effective health pool is 7,5k. See the problem? For your char it takes three orbs to kill, for the warrior one is enough to nuke 80% of this health.

As was said in a prior response, I have 500 life due to being a low-life build. why are you doubling the energy shield? It takes double dmg from chaos. Accounting for that fact, were both around the same ehp vs chaos.

Well, then I don't believe the claim that it takes three orbs to kill you. Because those are my stats (+the chaos dmg reduction with Smith of Kitava ascendency) and one orb takes 80% of my health.
