The real problem of XP LOSS.

Who are all these mysterious people? )

It is timewise impossible to reach lvl 100 at the time they did just by atlas mapping. I’m not sure what trade league META is but they were probably doing Twisted Domain lvl 82 rotation or something like this, which are pretty safe.

It is not an argument against xp-loss. Just saying.

There's plenty of reason for people to hate this league that isn't xp loss.

Then why have there been constant threads about people quitting due to exp loss since 0.1 dropped lol

.

When you combine low rewards, and suffering... alongside boredom, such as taking long walks, especially if you're not on a rhoa and low rewards from maps (relative to other mechanics) for the greater portion of this league..... the player loss isn't quite surprising anymore.

.

So in coclusion too much punshiment for nothing! The Vision shouldn't follow some rules but rules that ruining fun are important for keeping people in game.

1. First and most important of all is crafting mechanism wich is the most essential reason to keep people in game. There are some people that don't enjoy focusing on finding good drops but all their life is to create a perfect items for them or selling it.They spend ton of hours finding materials and use brain and skills to create such unique items. The gambling system made them quiting from game. With no such a rare itmes in market, market looses 50% of his purchasing power and this also bring less people in game especialy those that can't play in high dificulity Tiers becouse actually only there is some hope to find perfect items.

2. Second is the rare drops that actually after patch didn't bring any special results but only some few % in highest Tier maps. For a common player is like nothing have been done.

3. Balance among classes and weapons is the third. Progress to balancing is slow and almost always disspoint people becouse actually the balancing prefered to be made with nerf and not buff options by Devs. What can you say to someone that found the best build and Devs decided to ruin his vision of play....That is essential for game?? That is too much and apocalypse time will prevail?? That Jonath has another Vision?? Every right or not reason will disapoint them.

4. And last is XP loss that completes the puzzle of disapointment.

In a poll, the correct question will be:
What is the most annoying/missing thing that dissapoints you in game?

1. Crafting in poe2 is uninteresting to say the least. Most won't even dare spend their expensive omens. I'm not going to pretend I myself also felt unwilling to spend whittlings for some random outcome but I've made several sub 100-divines items (which hasn't sold).

2. most people do not know what to do with items.

3. diversity is hurting this league and build progression is worse. if you can do t15's onwards for cheaps, there's less incentive to upgrade. very few items would make you feel really powerful, and it's mostly crafted items that do in this patch.

4. "its not worth the pain"

5. you have my daughter's name. she actually made this account and its name. guess her age back then.

For those who say those 10 points doesn't really matter from 90 - 100, then a way to please everyone would be:

- 90 to 100 doesn't give any skill points.
- Those 10 missing points can be spread into campaign quests as non-weapon set skill point rewards.
- Xp Penalty starts at 90 and increases by 10% each level up to 100% xp loss if you die at level 99.
- 90 to 100 becomes the grind for all pp measuring competition addicts whose for some reason likes to compete in PVE games just to prove/pretend they have a big pp by bragging about the fact they've wasted 200+ hours of their lives increasing an integer number inside a server that holds a data called level which is clamped between 1 - 100.
- All problems solved, everyone can have fun.

In the end GGG should think a bit more of people who has lives outside of their game and respect ppl's realities by reducing the amount of time needed to optmize one character and completing all the endgame main tasks. Grinding is cool, everyone likes it to a certain degree, the problem starts when the game is balanced around the reality of the player base who can play the game for more than 4 hours per day. Not everybody can play this much, also, sometimes ppl wanna spend their free time with other types of entertainment like spending good time with their family, sports, movies, books, other games and so on... Making alts in this game is out of the table for basically everyone who doesn't live from playing it, which is quite frustrating, everyone wanna try different builds, try that new weapon drop they found in another character, but basically nobody can. If you have a life, you make 1 character and play it until the league ends and with great luck you'll maybe make 1 good character with an optimal build with god tier gear, even if you're a veteran who knows how to rush the campaign, build your character, optimize your farm and all the blablabla involved in git gud statements, just maybe.

Btw that's why RMT plagues this game. Ppl who work their asses off all day and can't play for so many hours, will obviously spend the money they get working their asses off to compensate the hours they can't put into playing to bypass the excessive grind and helping them make their way to endgame bosses and eventually "completing" the game.

+1000

They should just do that yeah, spread those 10 skill points over the campaign and let lvl90-100 be like a cosmetic paragon system for people who think this game is some kind of competitive e-sport. Which it's not by the way, never will be. 99% of players don't care about the "ladder" or they don't even know it exists.
this game is not ideal for casuals and those with limited playtime. i think casuals should not play this game and i dont mean it in any bad way. for those who just love this sort of game, its more efficient for them to just 'spend' just to have that little bit of fun when they are free.

I know It's against the rules, you know, spending and all.. but you didn't see elon musk get the banhammer did you?

Reality of things. poe is not for casuals, and casuals will surely not have an ideal time without breaking 'rules'. there are no two ways around it. just impossible.

But maybe innovative ideas about XP LOSS that satisfies both of them and eventually reduce hate among them.

People posted ton of them in forums. Devs need to juicing their fantasy more not only demand 'gid gud' rules....
my innovative idea said some pages back is already the best, an item that prevents xp loss but punishes the player differently and prevents progress beyond a certain level realistically. should give people enough time to feel frustrated before finding ways to improve and adds value to the economy.

Respectfully, you have had the very worst ideas in this whole thread.

The best idea was the Dark Souls approach suggested by qQbonmjtAZ. Risk is maintained in a much fairer form, and the learning experience wouldn't be compromised.

who are you to say what's fair? im merely making a compromise. in truth, the best idea is to do nothing. things continue as they have been since poe1.

so are you gonna show your gear / stats or what?
