POE2 is Junk and "The Vision" [Removed by Support]
" They won't. Core system is designed around 1-button spams, not around combos. |

" The best ever description what is GGG now! This vision literally will lead this company to collapse. |

It feels a bit strange to put your trust into a company with a good reputation and feel like they tricked you this time. This game feels like a flashy mtx cash grab game for Tencent with gambling mechanics. I am afraid that's the direction they're going.
Even if I like aspects of POE2 (aesthetic, bosses), I have played enough games like that. It's totally on me for giving my money but I feel stupid... Don't trust early access. I wish they would just update it regularly,.avoid league, and make it a good game. But they had to release league specific boxes full of micro transactions I guess. How long did they spend designing all those? Last edited by Lunela#2182 on May 3, 2025, 9:08:19 PM

I don't think this is talked about enough, but I also spent $500 on a supporter pack to feel foolish. It was like a bait and switch. We were promised a lot of things and are nowhere on track with getting them in a timely manner. It makes is seem/feel like it was an intended scam. If things don't improve with this game, it just speaks to how slack consumer protection laws are nowadays. I'm not sure what's up behind the scenes though. Maybe they'll pull it off in another 7 months. If they did I'd be happy. If not I'll make a YouTube video burning my hoody and art book to try and get views LOL

To be honest I bought into POE2 early access because of all the praise for POE1, all the player agency in the endgame, choosing what you want to do and customizing it on the atlas tree etc., with effective tools for crafting, and that POE2 started out as an update to POE1.
When they separated POE2 out as a new game, I was optimistic, thinking that wow they're putting so much new stuff into it that there's enough content to be sold as a separate game! Now I know, it's simply because they want to make something that is straight out NOT POE1. So none of the praise for POE1 apply anymore. And while I feel quite disappointed at their direction, it's on me to buy in to a developing product. That's just the nature of work-in-progress. I wouldn't call it a scam, but it's definitely one of the worst purchases I've made this year, and I suspect it will remain the worst throught the rest of the year as well. |

" Just absolute and utter fantasy. ![]() If what is happening isn't proceeding in a "timely manner" in your subjective personal opinion that's absolutely fine but nobody f'ing promised you anything dude. " They have dropped an average of two patches a week since EA dropped. How often do you want them to update guy? Last edited by Kerchunk#7797 on May 4, 2025, 12:16:34 AM

It's not like I don't see GGG trying. The atmosphere of the game is great, the grafics are superb within the ARPG genre and WASD controls are most of the time intuitive. So yeah, PoE2 is not a scam.
Still, there are alot of design decisions I just don't understand. I don't understand why GGG is focused on trade so much, which only functions thanks to an external website no one really likes to use, but must if you want proper gear progression without grinding for dozens of hours, since bosses only drop white/blues most of the time. Even one guarenteed rare is like a regal shard worth, since the tier-gambling makes it almost impossible to find something good. I also don't understand why crafting is so much about gambling. A certain randomness is okay, but nearly no control over all? That's like a step back in relation to PoE1. And ofc there are some endgame decisions that dont make sense to me. But since I'm not super invested, I leave feedback about endgame to others. |
