'Fixing' loot is only treating the symptom of the disease. Not the actual disease

To be honest I cant stand the towers idea.

I think Towers, infinite Atlas as implemented, etc. are COOL sounding but I can't stand the implementation.

Would vastly prefer Alc & Go (or 8 mod Deli maps if I'm semi-serious) + scarabs and just go. Sure I may need a regex for maps but I'm happy rolling those in bulk seeing as that's the ONLY hoop I need to care about much.

PoE2 just has me worrying about a dozen or two different things that I CAN keep straight but simply have no desire to keep straight.

Yea, when I first saw it I was like this looks awesome. Then I started playing it. Not so much. I just want bosses in every map back and the ability to juice the map from crafting and not the current do the towers overlap enough and close enough so I can try to run this juiced map vs throwaway map pathing it is now. Just annoying on numerous levels and leads to me stopping from boredom and starting a new character just to play the same campaign yet again.

I'm in roughly your boat but I may be worse off.

Sure I "hate" the Atlas and other things but I find myself "not caring" more and more as things go on. Hate isn't necessarily the opposite of Love --- Apathy may be the opposite of Love ...

Im the cure
So you guys admit you are not willing to put in the effort required to get good loot to drop and want the game to change to suit your needs?

Craft maps, even a simple "alch and go" could be hugely successful so long as you used the proper scarabs according to what you wanted to accomplish.

Was about to say no alch and go is complete trash but then saw the scarabs yeah.. Pure alch and go in PoE1 you are looking at getting a div drop every 800k-1m kills. I've tested it a few times and results are always similar.

The problem here is you cannot pick the map you want to run with the content you want to be in that map. You have to do the stupid towers and the play the maps we want you to play gameplay. It will always be bad compared to PoE1 until we have choice in what we want to play. If people don't play some dog shit map then delete the map or make it worth playing.

OP is barking at the wrong tree. Inflation is a symptom of lack of utility and currency sinks. Also crafting mats as trade currency and attempting to balance the game around it is a fundamental mistake to begin with.
I think the point is that you should be able to find sufficient gear without being forced to trade.

Everything in this patch is targeted at fixing that, this has 0 to do with changing relative trade prices. Yes as more exalts and divines drop prices will go up. But the "price" (in playtime) effectively stays the same as wait for it... more exalts and divines are dropping. Additionally more rares are dropping as well. If anything this will make mid-tier items "cheaper" in terms of playtime to purchase.

If you weren't optimized for exalt / divine drops before people were out-earning you, and that still will be the case post these changes. Once again, nothing changes.

Big nothing of a post, this is just stirring the pot over literally nothing.

That about sums it up.

I don't mind jumping through a hoop or even three but PoE2 has enough hoops to jump through and enough "down time" to get to the good stuff that I consider PoE2 a "waste of my time".

I.E. the multi-tiered setup is so boring that I'd rather do something (anything?) else with my time.

YMMV.

And the game should be geared for casuals argument is wrong. The game is geared for casuals. You don't have to study youtube videos to learn how to juice maps. It's not an overly complicated system that takes 100s of hours to actually learn. Just juice your waystones properly.

So casual gamers are all lazy you just want to alt and go? That's not casual that's just pure stupidity. Making the game geared towards casuals means not making overly complex systems that only a few players know how to master.

All the things I listed are not hard or complex to do. Stop being lazy and juice your maps, gear, and atlas properly.
