Will you nerf the OP lightning spear already??!
with as bad as the loot (mostly currency) drop rates and endgame grinding feels right now, you can't blame people for flocking to builds that clear maps as fast as possible. i personally have no desire to be forced into a weaker build and take 2x/3x as long to slog through a map that rewards you with 1 ex if you're lucky (at 120%+ gear rarity).
unfortunately, the buffs and nerfs in this game seem to be centered around the top 1% of blasters that play the game 40 hours a week. the casual gamer has to do what they have to do to keep up or be left in the dust as the economy inflates due to the blasters. nerfing LS doesn't help anything at this point because the blasters have the time and currency needed to find and spec into the next OP build. |

I will play whatever works. I used to love my Invoker that deleted the screen. Every ARPG Ive played has been to make my char as powerful as possible with the requirement of not playing piano while doing so. I started this season with a minion build then realized WTF I have to manually tell my minions to do every ability any other game they would do on thier own. I SUCKED my DPS sucked...clearing screen sucked gave up on Jamanra in campaifn. I felt it was like pullung teeth to chip away at boss health. Minions always dead. Ttippin over my fingers trying to do any dmg. Realized this aint fun.
Well I gave in...rolled a huntress and never looked back. If you cant beat em join em. It seems like the only build I can enjoy POE2 as is. I dont even run a streamer build heck who uses Trail of Caltrops and Culling Strike...I do. I enjoy my build. The devs took the wrong approach with .2 nuke nerfs. They SHOULD have buffed weak things and then did balance of controlling pace on the mob health side. I will LOL at the comment about the economy... no loot drops at all for anyone. Still 1 div here. " true, players will always chose the faster build, simply because they are competing with a trade economy. good items are getting more expensive every day, so the ultra slow build is farming net zero with low income. thats the problem in poe2 with fast clearing builds and most of the time slow builds. in poe1 its not the problem because there is content for tanky slow builds you can do. also there is content in farming low tier maps fast. in poe2 low tier maps are useless dogshit. everything comes down to having speed, while there is no besides 2 or 3. " That's why I'd prefer the Devs to look for any unintended interactions. If there are some then they could reign in LS a bit so it's still super good .. maybe even still the 'best' but it's not wildly the best for its investment level. THEN bringing any skills that are lagging behind would be great IF LS is working at or around the intended level. |

Cause quick clears are how the vast majority of people WANT to play. Even with all the pissed off POE1 players and Last Epoch boycotters gone, you still see the majority of players opting for classes that can clear full screens because no sane person wants to bash each individual mob over the head with a fucking stick and wait for Herald of Ash to ignite them to death. It's not something that you nerf, its something that you embrace and offer more alternatives to. Bring back spark, stat stackers, and ice strike in a way that competes with lightning spear and doesn't completely break the game |

Lightning spear does not need a nerf, nor did the builds from 0.1
What is required is to buff the useless builds until they are viable. Overall, PoE 2 needs another 5 years to cook and that is assuming they abandon the vision entirely. |

What I don't get is that the entire design of lightning spear goes against TheVision™, and that is pretty obvious the second you cut the t3 gem. How did they not notice this ? Why nerf spark in the same patch that introduces this into the game?

" There isn't any unintended interaction on LS itself. The skill working as intended. It looks OP because all other alternatives are bad. Compared to stat-stacking and spark form 0.1 , its not even close to that level of OP. The thing that make LS "looks" OP is because 1) Deadeye doesn't get nerfed, instead she getting buff in 0.2 , 2) Most of Spear skills synergize well with consuming frenzy charges, and surprise surprise , Deadeye has 2 ascendancy nodes that not only able to get max frenzy quickly, also make benefits of consuming frenzy to be twice as much. Not to mention Tailwind. Then 3) Tangletounge spear. This spear is just basically the best in slot for crit build. The nerf that needs to happen is to Deadeye, not Spear skills and to an extent Tangletounge. Replacing Deadeye with Amazon in the equation will make LS looks an ok build because despite it will have insanely good aoe-clearing coverage, Amazon doesn't have the speed and the single target dps that Deadeye have.
