Crafting...
" I am the opposite, and to be fair - that's probably even worse. If I see someone "craft" - slamming an exalt on an item and hitting the best mod possible, then doing it again to hit the next best mod possible - only for the "crafter" to soy pog because of the result, I want to vomit. This is not crafting, it's pure gambling. Just add a drumroll and *Ding Ding Ding* at the end, and you have a one-to-one slot machine in your game. [Removed by Support]

" In the same light, I've seen people hit jackpots on the first try and it has made me very happy for them. It is ABSOLUTLY Gambling and should be respected as such. Crafting is NOT what is happening and they have done a terrible job hiding it. Video Game regulations haven't advanced enough yet to fight back against this type of addiction. It is VERY easy for developers and studios to hide gambling in video games. Gaming is already highly addictive, without the added gambling features. In the EU they are trying to fight it, but they are using children to push the agenda and that tends to go negatively. It will probably be harder to fight in the future, if they loose over there. |

The craft is okay, the issues with drop of loot. Some important orbs are so rare that ye litteraly can not make a craft at all/enow.

I tried crafting in LE.
Oh. My. God. |

" Right ? We thought crafting was bad in PoE 1, well joke on us in PoE 2. Here we only have casino and forced Trade. Crafting dont exist esp since we dont have any currency even if we would like to roll our chances in cassino. LE crafting is god tier because it have the depth and control and at the same time having the proper level of chance in it. And most of all its not frustrating! |

" I think crafting in PoE1 is technically unmatched, BUT if you don't have a "PoE crafting PhD", obviously not appealing for many ppl. Like, the best in "possibilities", but not the best in "use". The crafting in "Last Epoch", on the other hand? Usable right from the start. Really easy to get into. Has enough depth to make it engaging. It's not too complex to make it annoying. If we ignore PoE1 crafting because of the PhD requirement, Last Epoch has the best crafting, period. And the best part is... loot from the ground is exciting the entire time because "the best" mods can only appear on dropped items (purple/exalted), which you then use as a crafting base. Making ground loot actually awesome is something LE nailed hard, and PoE don't. [Removed by Support]

I think crafting in POE2 is possible and very near, and a simple change can fix it. Add an alteration-orb like effect to Essences. Check out my thread for my initial thoughts to comment on if you agree/disagree. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3765378

I always make money when I slam in poe2 or use expedition artifacts etc etc, but...I don't influence anything, I don't choose what happens really. I can do better than that but I'm only allowed to gamber. I feel really offended as a player by what we have in poe2.

i just hope they will adapt their "meaningful combat" mentality, which i absolutely love and the reason i'm here, to the crafting system aswell.
and also to the trials for that matter. getting screwed over by rng is plenty around irl, we don't need that in our game pls <3 +1 for grinding mats to craft your wish. i don't mind spending my gametime farming mats, if i at least then can decide what they will be invested for. that's a proper goal to work for and certainly can hold player retention just as much if not better than gambling, which eventually will just make ppl go mad. pls -add "Advanced Targeting System" to the options so we can disable accessibility-stuff -fix skills w/o movement to NOT MOVE YOU when using Attack Without Moving i.e. Ice Strike -rework: enemies instant-spells = math-game || very unfitting for meaningful combat cuz can't avoid with skill thx <3 Last edited by Naztrey#9177 on Apr 17, 2025, 12:39:09 PM
