Crafting...

I just wanted to say that of all the games I have ever played, crafting in POE2 is by far the most aggravating, infuriating thing I've participated in.

I'm watching someone else fail at it on Youtube and, I hate myself for this, but I got joy watching it happen to someone else. I guess misery really does love company.

Please fix this before launch.

If you like crafting, you are going to love Last Epoch.
I've played over 1k hours in LE. I love their crafting system. I wish POE2 would adopt it.
Agreed. I play arpgs since D1 Alpha version. Played them all.

LE crafting is by far the best ever made. Perfect elegant solution in the very middle, and if you can believe it they are making it far better in S2.

While on the other side PoE 2 dont even have crafting. Only Casino. There is only 9th circle of hell known as Trading website instead of having proper in game Auction house like many other games. There are ways to do AH properly in ARPG`s this days as many of the competition implemented it.

As far as i know I think Console version have some sort of in game auction house for poe 2 but not pc version.
Poe crafting was incredible. I'm hoping what we have now is just a placeholder till they build a way to incorporate all those systems into something more simple.
What we have sucks I know but i just put it down to the same thing as those corridors to closed doors for content that's not in yet and all that end game "something to do" content that's not in yet.

Poe 1 had something like that but poe2 is cross platform so no auction house. The poe1 version was the same hell we have now though
(Not accepting offers demanding more inflated prices but probably due to lack of players. At least the item got delivered to you)

If they want to make poe 2 go mainstream they dont really have a choice. Everything needs to be in game. Average person wont go to 3rd party to do what what should be in game.

They are not a small studio anymore.
Yea from what Ive heard it's in the works like a lot of things are and I hope crafting is in the works too. I know it's not relevant but I'm hoping they sort out a better system to balance skills than just shredding whatever people play most...

One can only hope. But i wish they posted what they are working long term so we dont get anxious.
from what i see the mechanics for this game are mostly based on gambling with very little deterministic options.the latest loot box just reinforces that view.

i mean you basically have a slot machine and the currency is your token for spins.

what we have is akin to gambling and could feed into peoples addiction.
it really is an atrocious and predatory design, which i have no doubt is intentional to extend players time in the game and feed addictive behaviour, you know maybe next time i hit the jackpot type of thing, just need more currency...

i reckon as the game devolopes you will probably see more currency drops (spins) with items that alter the chance (omen like) but still "gambling" rather than a proper crafting system. I wouldnt be surprised one day if legislators take a hard look at such mechanics
